Because I'm cranky, disagreeable, and generally leery whenever corporate elects to strip mine the creative capital of employees under the guise of a "friendly competition" and unless the prize includes the phrase “submit an invoice," then I'd tell them to pound sand. You have talent. Don't give it away for free (or a $20 Starbucks gift card).

It's admittedly a cursory search and I have zero personal insight into the market, but this at least provides an idea of what the going rate for a corporate logo design is.

Maybe I'm being a cynical faggot and you just want to enjoy making some art for a workplace competition, but that's my perspective.

I got banned from a thread for my defense of the stegosaurus. Such a fucking based design. Literally there's so much you can do with a stego you can hold it by the legs and use it's back as a chainsaw and if I was a dinosaur I would definitely be using a stego to saw down a tree. And it's got a cool tail. Like if you never imagined having a stego/ankylosaurus tail and smashing it around into shit like a bulldozer then you failed at having a childhood.

Performative ideology is the death of sincerity wherever it's found. It's completely antithetical to a natural, reflexive belief or culture and as such needs to be fought by the genuine followers of anything. Being a homosexual should have been gatekept and it seems like we need to gatekeep heterosexuality too. You must prove you are worthy of sex before you can start to think about it.
