Think about the difference between light theme and dark theme. The people that use them are pretty differentiated in their choices. Although it could just be a difference in color schemes, I think it's difference in mindset. Think of the people you know that use light and dark themes, they all have a lot of things in common.
Your light users are more in tune with the intentions of others. They're good at interpreting the temperature of the the group. They may misread things and even slightly embarrass themselves from time to time, but for the most part they do an amazing job making sure the site is an enjoyable place to be. They are what makes sure the site is enjoyable.
Dark users on the other hand are good at holding the group together. They may miss the occasional social cue, but they're good at making sure the site is running smoothly. Although they like to have fun from time to time and sometimes they take it too far, they do their best to make sure the community functions, and they are invaluable.
With that analogy in mind, let's talk about God. Not necessarily god in the Christian sense, but GOD. The G.O.D. The Grand Architect.
God looks at things in light and dark. You're either good or you're evil. You either get into heaven or you get into hell. But what gets you into heaven and what puts you in hell? Ah, that's the brilliance! It all depends on your outlook. It all depends on your choice of color scheme.
I don't have to say which color scheme creates the best users because you already know. Laying it out again would be beating a dead horse. Just remember that as big as you may get, there's someone bigger.
