I think it's because Lindy has that stereotypical obnoxious "fat girl who acts like she's hot shit" way about her. If she didn't write for a living, she'd almost certainly have a Tinkerbell tattoo, nose stud, and post nonstop fake Marilyn Monroe quotes about haterz making her famous on her social media in between Walmart bathroom selfies. She seems to have this general attitude of "Fuck you, YOU don't deserve ME", which is just abrasive as all fuck.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into her though. I personally get a vibe of complete trashiness from her.

I think you nailed it.

Wu has an almost cartoon like quality and is so bad at what he does that he veers right into "so dumb it's funny" territory. Lindy on the other hand doesn't have any of that, for lack of a better word, "charm". I think another reason she comes across as more grating than Wu is because she's someone you've probably had to put up with at one point or another. While most of us have, thankfully, never had to deal with the likes of Johnny, chances are good you've had to deal with a fat, loud-mouthed bitch who thinks she's the smartest and cleverest damn person in the world. It's that real-life experience you have that instantly makes you recognize her for what she is; a fat, obnoxious, bully.

And someone like that always comes across as infinitely more annoying and abrasive than any cartoony tranny.

I'm pretty sure Lindy is the mold in which other fat loud obnoxious women on the internet were cast from. A very very corpulent mold.

She was pretty influential during her time at Jezebel. Smug condescension, judicious use of caps lock and f-bomb drops to show edginess is her trademark writing style, and now all the other online cows copy it.

If the url contains "comment-is-free" or something like that, it is not the paper, but the blog section, which is inundated with abject retards who make the bloggers on Huffington Post look professional.

I don't think that the central premise in her CiF article is terrible. It is a bad thing when one person subjects an uninterested party to their blathering, but having said that I don't agree with the central "cis white hetero male" premise as I have suffered similar from various people across the demographics over the years. Leaving aside whether the exchanges in the piece were made up, I can imagine them, and have been on the receiving end of similar ones a few times. It would be nice if people could take social cues and quiet down gracefully when their conversation isn't much appreciated
 
At the risk of sounding off-topic, I honestly don't know why the Syrian refugees would want to come to America (if they do) when our country is rife with whiny, overprivileged cunts like this. I was born here and this is embarassing to me.
