You can use a program like wire shark to watch what the browser is doing. It's not rocket science.

If its legit it seems like a pretty cool proxy service and a nice little list of sites, but these things always seem too good to be true.

These sites usually inject either malicious http or js (TLN: maybe that link's worth adding?). I don't feel like standing up a sandbox to test but if anyone wants to roll the dice and enable js I'll add it if you can vouch for its sanitation.

What's the intended use for this site? If it does what it claims with no chicanery, it offers no advantage over a non-browser-based VPN or Tor.

I guess it lets you access certain websites from, say, school computers where you can't install anything and certain domains are blocked at the network level. But when the admin of such a network sees users visiting a domain that you can clearly identify as a proxy service before you even visit the page, they'll probably block it. In the long term, you should expect it'll be blocked.

The short-term nature of such sites implies that even if it's useful today, it may not be useful a year from now. The owner will likely let the domain expire, some spammer will take it over, and future visitors to our excellent link page will have to wonder which other erstwhile excellent links have transmogrified to shit.

I'm a little skeptical about anonfiles, say my common sense is tingling but maybe I'm too sensitive. Added both.
I don't see why a disclaimer would need to be added to doomworld's entry when the link very specifically only points to the good subsection which exists in its own little vaccuum. Indeed, there isn't even a link to the doomworld proper in that section!

I'm of two minds on including imageboards. On the one hand, as cuckchan bores an increasingly deeper hole in what was eons ago the bottom of the barrel and actually good bunkers are slowly wasting away in obscurity the imperative of attracting new blood is obvious, and even beyond that KF is probably the closest thing to a "mainstream" site to actually prime people for shitposting and not being a huge faggot on the fun parts of the net. On the other hand, in a terrifying parallel to 4chan itself circa 2011 pedditors (with the added current year bonus of magapede stormfront niggers!) have been invading KF and gradually ruining it in exactly the same way. You may or may not have been here for it but when the tranny jannies at peddit implemented the rule change that "you cannot be racist/sexist/etc. except straight white males are fair game" last year we had to shut down registration to contain the REDDIT-20 plague. Right now there are kiwis unironically admitting to and even bragging about posting there. Obviously it's not just about peddit (only mostly), but they're a great weathervane for exactly the sort of riff raff the gate was made to keep out. If I start adding bunkers to the index that's a lot of potentially superfluous info crowding up the index just to allow the cancer a ladder over the gate. I need a compelling reason first. Because I'm a newfag I can't really say anything smart if KF is building up a reddit-tier userbase but I did notice a lot of users signing up only for off-topic and Autistic Thunderdome and don't put much effort into contributing to the site's culture.

But I can definetly say that because of byuu KF is going to grow and attract a lot of users from reddit and twitter who didn't even know this place existed and now want to be part of this cool secret club "without rules". Maybe I am too pessimistic, but KF might be too big for it's own good.

Admittedly, I am quite a newfag to imageboards as well but it's quite obvious that that smaller chans that aren't 4chan need new people to build a community or at least gain enough users to justify keeping the site online.
And because everyone is creating and shilling their own jschan instance that does literally nothing new it's hard for actually interesting chans to compete for an audience who is willing to actively use new sites.

To get to the fucking point, I would welcome new users who want to lurk or participate in chans (I would be really happy to see the site I frequent with more than 3 posts per day )
But I can also understand your point that linking to chans may result in them being shitted up. I posted Creamy's list instead of chans I care about only because it's relatively well known and I am confident woever sifts through an old list with a lot of dead sites will appreciate every board's culture well enough.

Anonfiles definetly glows, there is nothing free on the internet but at least you don't need an account unlike drive or mega if I rember correctly.
