TGWTG Linkara / Lewis Lovhaug - HMMMMMMM? (Dead Gay Muppet Gangbang)

It is super funny to me as he does nor even like comics, did it as channel awesome had the rule you can only view one type of content that you had to claim, So he picked comics and knows zero about them, but his life is now comic reviews.
Unlike Spoony’s video game rants, which are at least confidently wrong, I genuinely don’t know enough about comics to say whether Lewis' reviews are bullshit or not.

Hel, he's even said that his show is more about his storyline (which he seems to do virtually little of these days).

[Insert retarded "FRANK MILLER CANT WRITE WAMMEN THAT ARENT SEXUALIZED" rant from Lewis here]

He's not great at it, it's clear he's always cared more about his own lore than he did the lore of the shit he reads. Probably why the Linkara lore compilation videos are like 12 hours long.

His lore is so bad as well. When you are kid you do the thing of your house is a spaceship. He does it as an adult, makes himslef the most important person in the world. His film is all about how everyone needs him but he does not care. Also the magic gun stuff. I used to watch stuff that was of interest to me I just skipped any lore stuff.

Here's a Lewis review

He spends most of the video simply reading the comic in a stupid voice. He'll comment if he thinks it's racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or misogynist and throw shade at the creator if he thinks it is. He'll comment on the art if he thinks it's bad or "unrealistic". Then in the last minute or two of the review you'll say if the comic is truly awful or ok. Also, if he thinks the book breaks canon or kills a character no matter how minor of a character, he'll get pissy.

There you go that's a Linkara review of a comic.

No, he is a comic fan, it's just that his fandom is such a minute, specific part of the medium that he refuses to alter from, even when shown he would enjoy it if he did. Much like how he loves Power Rangers, or at least did, but refused to watch the original Sentai series because they weren't the versions he grew up with.

Even dumber is that even if he loses interest in a series, he refuses to give it up. The Titans was his first comic book so he kept buying issues even after he started hating it, and then kept buying it when it was relaunched as Teen Titans to tie into the show that came out in 2003, which he refused to watch because, as I said with Power Rangers, it wasn't the right version. Some of his most hated moments in comics comes from that series, and yet he bought it all the way to the end, and kept buying the New 52 version despite hating it even more.

Whenever he says 'vote with your wallet' he doesn't think that applies to himself.

Don't forget how he refuses to even touch a Spider-Man comic (or at least 616) because One More Day hasn't been retconned out of existence.

Not only does he act like a perpetually spoiled child, but his spending habits are practically what people think of when folks say CONSOOM.

They're not even reviews. They're poorly constructed "riffs" where he reads the panels, turns to the camera and makes a joke or dresses like Batman to make the joke.

Truth be told, Lewis isn't funny.

if anything, Linkara should be grateful that Oneyplays is making him funny. he's a completely boring son-of-a-gun otherwise.

Biggest fumble of Linkaras career the past few years is reacting so negatively to Oney and Zachs bits on him.

If he had been smart, Zach talking about Linkara in his Trump voice would be a donation sound on his streams. But nah, cry about it instead. Bro really does take himself too seriously and it's hurting him far more than its helping him.

Im genuinely stunned that Linky hasn't covered The phantom even though it's peak pulp and quite popular in Europe. You'd think someone who has a "cultured" mindset would be open to more euro type comics.
Please. He just covers mainstream bullshit unless it's a Patreon sponsored one. Lewis doesn't seem to be interested in comic books as a genre, just a very limited range of them.

My guess is Lewis was picked on at school and because of that any kind of mockery immediately gets him defensive.

I don't know where you got cultured mindset from, he's pretty open about the fact that he's a basic bitch when it comes to his tastes. He's actually oddly proud of it.

Also, he's against the idea of doing non-DC or Marvel comics that are popular in America, I'm not surprised he refuses to touch something those filthy Europeans with their high taxes would enjoy.

They didn't make fun of him in a way he allows, that means they are the devil incarnate.

You know, there’s something that could be made from that. Picture this: introducing comic book heroes by their most famous and infamous stories,

a MCU/Arrowverse/DCAU/related fan getting into comics to learn more of the hero they watched, maybe with said fan being joined by a comic book reader to show/talk about/review the stories that made up what was seen on the screen

Granted, some may have already done this, but there’s something you can do with this. But Linkara refuses to learn about new things. Stubborn bastard.

I heavily considered making that show, but never got around to it. It aggravates me how many opportunities Lewis had to be someone people could look to as a comic expert but he threw them away because of laziness, arrogance and stubbornness. But it's all your fault his movie didn't make a million dollars, the great Linkara is perfect. To say otherwise is to commit the greatest insult of all.
