Watched the video, Linus doesn't seem to be "mostly blaming google"; at about 6 minutes into the video he does go on to say that he needed more rigorous training for his employees to actually be aware of the simple, common sense, Internet rule of not downloading and opening random email attachments. The blames on himself and his team for the breach, not Google.
His complaints about google was more in how their tools for account recovery sucks and are slow and inaffective, news to no-one who has ever had tried to contact google support.
