Most people who are turned away from something often just leave and leave no indication as to why. He might have reddit upvotes, and with a heavily moderated comment section showing support, but the views and money in general can dry up all the same. Jim Sterling has been bleeding slowly on his channel, and he already had a much more politically aligned user-base.

They've never announced it, it's just how the algorithm works. Ultimately the algorithm is curated by whatever the audience clicks on and serves to keep people on the platform as long as possible. If the audience doesn't click on something, then the video gets lower ranked by the algorithm. The best way to satisfy the algorithm is to satisfy the audience.
