It was definitely made locally. One of the few native industries the UK can still boast is high precision engineering, which has managed to survive most of the off-shoring bullshit of the last 40+ years, despite the best efforts of all involved, precisely because it can't be made cheaper by sending it abroad. That copper block was likely made locally, and it was probably a mix of CNC and hand assembly.
Do you mean Artesian Builds? While linus is an absolute faggot (I still havent forgiven him for calling adblockers piracy) correct me if I'm wrong, didn't gamers nexus get tied up in drama with fucking around with a pc build for someone? It was either them or some random brand that had a custom pc building contest
In my experience, when people recall horrible experiences, they tend to either exaggerate it or downplay it. Men usually downplay it while women usually exaggerate it. If she had to slice open her thighs to get a couple days of sick leave, you bet she'll blown everything up.I think most of what alleges happened, although some of it not to the degree at which she is portraying it.
No, I think GN was making a custom PC for some metal band or bullshit like that.Do you mean Artesian Builds?
Um, Gamers Nexus were the good guys in this fiasco too.
At my time in trade school, during a brief stint in the machinest section, I noticed quite a bit of measuring equipment from the UK. Full computer controlled in this rig, you place a object in the middle and it would map out all the data points, where me with normal tools trying to do the same, reverse engineering wise, measuring all that shit, would take hours if not days.It was definitely made locally. Head of business development, which includes HR, procurement, logistics, events, and sales marketing
You're probably right, but truth is, it doesn't matter, Linus and his tranny ilk are the kind of people who would #believewomen without a second thought, and they're cucknadian on top of that.Look I'm sure there's at least some truth to it, but I'm still skeptical of claims from someone that is clearly batshit crazy.
"I remember getting told off for taking my sick days, as in the days you're entitled to." comes across to me she was maxing out her sick leave. I used to work with people that would take massive amounts of sick leave, which increased my workload and the extra stress was affecting my mental health. So I have little tolerance for this "entitled" to sick leave bullshit. You should only take it if you are actually unwell.

I wouldn't call this drama at all. It was solid journalism.
I'm getting uncomfortable gamergate vibes, time to log off.

Can't even bother to whine and fault her, their company's culture caused it. If she was a happy employee, she wouldn't be doing this.
That said, her creepy simps in the comments should just shut up. Aim the keyboard with both hands present at LMG, not at her typing with one hand, freaks. There's ways to encourage her to reveal more and feel sorry that doesn't involving simping.
This one?No, I think GN was making a custom PC for some metal band or bullshit like that.
Then, the custom parts GN ordered from their chinese insectoid overlords that they love to worship fell into the ocean after leaving the mainland with 5000 years of history on it's way to the fat pig USA land.
So the build was delayed for a long time because of it and whoever this metal band was couldn't play CSGO on max settings thus causing bad things to happen to them I suppose, maybe the drummer killed himself or something I'm not sure.
I think a lot of people here (and /g/) probably aren't going to like this video but this "What do we do now" video is pretty much the only way to address the concerns that Gamers Nexus brought up.
Geez, they really did use that auction for tax deductions. Like I said here a day or two ago, 9 out of 10 "charity auctions" are simply for harvesting your charitable contributions to use for their tax deductions.According to their subreddit, they are emailing auction winners lmao

I like how they try to pretend that doing tests every time is a good thing, when they're consistently fucking up the tests every time. I'd rather one accurate test with a weeks potential result variance, than seven bad tests and no idea what'd work."unlike Gamers Nexus, we do new tests every time"
also unlike Gamers Nexus, Linus Media Group is in total damage control
Kek, yea that sounds like it'd suck. But its also not exclusive to onlyfans. You really, really, really shouldn't be a social media manager if you have thin skin. Just because you use the shit all the time, doesn't mean you know how to run it - its the same fundamental misunderstanding that leads people to think younger generations are more tech savvy, "because they always use it" and so would make great IT or Programmers. Or thinking that someone who really loves to watch movies would make a good actor or director.
The CAD work and machining time for a one-off prototype like that is more than $2,500 USD.Holy shit, $2549.98 USD for that copper block. Not surprised. Ever since covid, metal prices in general have gone through the roof. Do you know how much of a kings ransom it takes anymore to get some quality, non chink steel to weld on? A fuck ton. That's just carbon steel. Now COPPER, especially the pure, non alloyed stuff, assuming that's what the block is made of? Good lord, it might as well be gold anymore, with how many electric cars and electronics have been sold in the last few years, that shit is in high demand.
Madison is BPD extreme but this is a pretty fucked thing to do to your female employee.
I'm still pretty stunned that they decided the best way to ensure video quality and less inaccuracies going forward was to have 24/7 on call editors. That signals to me that nothing will actually change in terms of quality/upload pace, but they'll throw it out there and fix forward with whoever is the poor sap that's the live editor. For some reason, I feel like Linus is never going to be the guy in the 24/7 mistake fixer chair, but will certainly be the source of most mistakes that need fixing.Watching the video and a few more thoughts
Nick, no, someone did not have to mention LTT.com. Literally no one asked for it
The way they talk about quality assurance is weird... they talk processes and guidance but NOT time to them. The NON-technical COO doing the last QC seems odd. One thing is focusing on general statements about the company, the sponsors, etc.. but having to spot mistakes in data is very odd.

Good luck with your future job Colton (not meant as the usual "firing Colton" meme)

This is better than emoji, but "shoot over an invoice" is still extremely unprofessional!
Also, apparently, from what Colton says, it was the procurement team that emailed people trying to find out who won the auctioned block, mentioning "tax purposes" as a cover. This procurement team did not ask the event team. MY DUDES. They don't even work from home. Just stand up and walk to your coworker desk :/
He promises he will "train the team". JFK. Maybe do that before they can break things?? Or hire people with some common senes?
Luke. Poor Luke. The way he started his segment is fucked up. Those were all things that Linus said (trust me bro, etc) and Luke had tried to stop him.
I'm just saying the material costs, especially in the market we're in, doesn't make getting copper cheap, not unless you horde every scrap from broken cables and broken power supplies you've accumulated over the years, strip them down, melt the copper into a block, then machine. Even then, you just paid over time. The CAD work and machining time for a one-off prototype like that is more than $2,500 USD.
