If you don't use a screwdriver enough to understand why you'd want a magnetized end and be able to recognize one, why the fuck did you buy a 'premium' screwdriver in the first place. Its one thing to buy merch because you want to 'support the company' or whatever, but at least stick to something you'll use like a tshirt or some shit. But a fool and his money are soon parted.

I looked into his post history and he apparently has access to a welder at his college. I wonder if his teacher knows he doesn't know what a magnet is.

Are surprised a redditor is a soy-filled gigafaggot?

>no idea how to use tools, really
>too low iq to intuitively understand why a magnet would be useful on a screwdriver
>CONSOOMS [famous youtuber] merch because [FUNNY MEME LTTSLOP.COM HEHEHEHHE] and to get ALL THE UPDOOTS! (thanks for the GRIDS kind stranger)

I remember the barton days. But since they started boosting shit to the max automatically, manual overclocking has been dead.

I am learning now how to overclock socket 462 (a Sempron 2200+). I never did overclocking till now since I mostly used laptops my entire life as daily drivers and was a bit cautious with not frying CPUs.
Now that old processors like these can be obtained for only 2-3 dollars per piece, you don't lose that much.
It is fun. Though I need a better 60mm fan that is less noisy and has more airflow volume. It reached 60C.

To be fair, I don't own a scewdriver kit like this and probably I would get confused at first with that head. I have different PH screwdrivers that are magnetized and I am doing fine.
Also they are longer than those kits and they are useful when you have to reach deeper parts of the case.

If probably my daily job was to build/repair computers, I might benefit from this.
But I feel most people that buy this, do not really need this and they can do the same job with $4 screwdriver.

According to some dude in the thread; it says exactly what it is :
"On their product page, it's called "5x5 Magnet bit (affectionately named "The Screw Retriever"""

Even so, if you can't figure out what a bit with a magnet on the tip is for within 30 seconds of looking at it, then you're hopeless.

Linus has created an update video on the money hole that makes no sense for his company, "The Lab".

This is just an inferior version of what GN did a while back, and when they addressed comments such as "sample size blah blah".
The numbers they found was similar.
They said the sample variation doesn't even matter, it's only quantifiable when you want to make it quantifiable.

Someone who doesn't use a screwdriver all that much, choosing to splurge over $50 on a premium screwdriver with proprietary bits, with a ratcheting mechanism.
Does this Reddit retard even know how to use it?

Its like $70 and the bits aren't proprietary they are just smaller to fit in the handle. You can use normal bits. Its still retarded. I paid less for my hitachi DB-3DL over a decade ago and use it for all my building.

I don't understand why you would buy something, that you don't even know what it is, because it has branding from someone or other.
I'm not sure criticism of this post is all that valid--I doubt that screwdriver piece sees much use for anyone, whenever I need to get a screw in a tight place I use a small magnetic flathead since PC screws like to fall in weird spaces in the cases. Since I assume the rest of the set is magnetic I can understand not knowing what that piece is for given that it's kind of useless.

The only real problem I see from this screwdriver is that it's a relatively marginal improvement over an existing model at a premium due to lower volume. You're better off buying two different specialty screwdrivers than just this lone one to cover all your bases.

The screwdriver was just marketed more as something for convenience than a super-specialized tool; while I hate redditors and LTT fans are a joke, how many of you have bought a dremel and knew what every piece it came with did?

What year is this? Who goes to lan centers anymore? Is this because canada is filling up with indians and chinks??
Can't speak for everywhere; but to my understanding people who do barcades, and it's the "bar" part that does the heavy lifting. But being Canada, all the new Chinese are gonna go because it's familiar to them. I also see Linus having a problem having the staff and what-not to properly operate a real LAN Center. Also, if he really is serious about one of those buildings being part Badmiton and part LAN Center... you're going to fuck shit up. This is stupid, one or the other. Also, the more I see of Dan, the more I'm questioning if he just wanted a lighter workload or fell on hard times; his skillset and abilities seem far above everyone else we see on camera.

I went yesterday to a hardware store and I saw screwdriver kits. They did have that magnetic tip but was separated from those that are used for screws. Indeed it is more noticeable.
I do agree with the sentiment. A lot of people use very rarely tools are going to buy an expensive tool that is used rarely used till the tips wear-out.

A lot of people can handle cheaper tools. Though not too cheap. I regret buying 2$ tweezers from AliExpress. They were too thin to have adequate tension force. Found better stuff at Lidl at 8$.

This is my opinion, but I prefer separated screwdrivers. They have better grip, much longer axis, and it is easier to multi-task with multiple of them.
I do own a cheap kit but I used for my phone and laptop and was under 7 dollars.

I bought the screwdriver mentioned in this post https://kiwifarms.st/threads/linus-...ia-group-linus-tech-tips.118806/post-12927808

It's $40 AUD vs the base price of ~$107.71 AUD for the LTT Screwdriver (~$148.95 AUD once you add shipping and GST. $18 USD for 14-28 day shipping!) and though I've never used an LTT Screwdriver, there is literally no way it can be nearly 4x as good and worth waiting potentially a month for it to arrive.

The TTI screwdriver has mostly the same functionality, just fewer bits as it uses standard sized ones. The ratchet is easy enough to switch one handed and just this weekend I was replacing a bunch of case fans in my PC and had no issues working around components and overtightened screws. Fan screws are a nightmare.

Shortly after release, JayzTwoCents dropped the LTT Screwdriver and actually broke the bit holder. I tried the same drop multiple times and it didn't even leave a mark on the TTI screwdriver. The fact the TTI's bit holder is stored loose in the body with a cap threaded on does make it slightly more inconvenient to access but it's 10x better for longevity than LTT's.

The LTT Screwdriver is a prestige product for people with more money than sense.

Weird. I remember seeing a guy reviewing the LTT screwdriver. In the results it seemed pretty good, though still I believe it is too expensive.

Edit: Found the video: https://invidious.protokolla.fi/watch?v=845HUaWYSQA The channel is called Project Farm. Don't know too much about him.

Yeah, it did well in that video, but he's testing the tolerances of it, I don't recall he drop tested it. The issue is the way that the bit holder is designed, where it uses thin pieces of plastic to wrap around and hold onto the bit. There's just not a lot of support when the screwdriver hits the floor and all that force is now on the thin plastic.

Is the LTT Screwdriver Worth It SPOILER - I damaged it..._1028.22s.png
I don't know how you spend so much time sperging over the shape of the handle or the feel of the ratchet mechanism, but don't bother giving it a few whacks on the bottom to see whether the plastic just sheers off. That having been said, they may have been unlucky as for this soy latte, it took 23 goes for his to sheer off in the same manner https://youtu.be/KshnaA_qFnE

The comments are enlightening

Not pictured: piles of cope posts from LTT fanboys claiming surviving a couple dozen drops is something to be proud of.

For $70 the product should survive a 1000 falls from the top of the elevator dude's hoistway. The LTT Screwdriver isn't a bad product, it's just extremely overpriced and not intended for anyone except a limp wristed computer nerd who will lay it on a satin pillow after using it to install their motherboard.

Oh. This is sad. He still didn't learn from his backpack issue.
It seems he did make a really good tolerance screwdriver but a very flimsy construction.
