whatever you think of LTT its kind of a low blow to compare him to Marques. At least there is some degree of technical rigor and education in some of LTT videos. Marques and his ilk on the other hand barely deserve the title of tech youtuber. I admit I watch some of his videos but its pure consoomerist junk food window shopping. They should really be called consumer electronic gadget youtubers or something like that to separate them from actual tech youtubers.

The Marques style channels are just informercials for millenials (and younger generations) who dont watch TV anymore.
There is little to no difference between some of these sponsored "Reviews" of 800$ e-waste and Billy Mays showing you how superb the Crocodile Cutter is at "Powering through every material!".
Both of these are 3rd parties producing advertisements that fake some sort of objective tests but really had their conclusions pre-decided by the paycheck the manufacturer handed them beforehand. The "CALL NOW AT 0600-50350" has turned into "Check out the links in the description".

The only difference is that millenials and co. turned their informercial hosts into e-celebrities and that your grandma (hopefully) does not have a parasocial relationship with billy mays.
Some people laugh at their granny buying a Shamwow "AS SEEN ON TV",
just to then do the same exact thing but with a random (far more expensive) tech gadget that cant even clean a countertop.

Worse, this was in one of his warehouses. Did a whole lead up of pretending to be the tired boss and "Everyone knows where my office is." So the obvious solution is to put some goofy fucking privacy gamer room, complete with snacks, under the stairs, and only accessible from under the employee kitchenette sink. It also has a viewing window he can look out of. He couldn't keep employees, but he can do pointless fucking remodels.

Taking a very impressive and brave stance on the Honey controversy, on today's early WAN show Linus defended his decision to not publicly admonish Honey for stealing creator revenue in a duplicitous way by saying he "doesn't know why he's being targeted", "everybody knew Honey was scamming creators", he "stopped working with them" and finally he "didn't watch the YouTube video" and thinks it's bullshit that he was targeted.

I'd provide clips but it's still live. Fuck Linus and his complete inability to engage with a conversation. Why even acknowledge the Honey situation if you're not going to watch the video and instead will only read bullet points about it provided to you by your lackeys? He's such a disingenuous bitch.
