Another reason to eat the rich, they come back to this setup 3 months later and Kris didn't do anything with her setup, she didn't plug in a free camera to the computer, it really does feel like another instance of Linus' house where it's just ego stroking having all this stuff, and for whoever this simp magnet is she doesn't seem to play games either unless its to activate simp bucks. This woman feels as artificial as that one youtuber from a few years ago who lives in her modified camper van and debuted with top tier camerawork and editing.

That build has thousands of dollars worth of electronics and they used the absolute cheapest IKEA furniture they could find. Also, why two webcams? There's a fancy mirrorless camera setup, and then a random USB webcam. Why not just always use the high quality camera?

I watched a recent clip of the wan show and Linus said that all of the "expansions eg. (Backpack, warehouse, screwdriver)" is mostly his and Yvonnes personal money. They said at this point they have to look in to investor money cause they are scared it isn't gonna pay off.
Then there is this clip where they are laughing cause Nvidia & AMD have lower demands for cards. Like guys if a global recesion hits, Nvidia & AMD are gonna be fine. You are the first ones to go with the advertiser money.

You give any engineer on the planet an hour and he can spit out a 3d model Cad model and some drawings. Sure they aren't gonna be textbook ones that you teacher wants but they will be usuable even to the dumbest bugman. Imagining stuff, making sure it works and figuring out the best way to do it is what takes time not making a 3d model. If you are working backwards from a finished product its as easy as pie:

Its as simple as booting solidworks -> making a couple of different parts -> assembly -> detail drawings of each part and an assembly drawing. A tech savy highschooler could do it. Did he only hire software enigneers? They are the only displine who seems to never touch CAD.

Even with the internet, it was quite a treat fill up an 80GB HDD in a few hours. Especially in the days when even if you were lucky to have a 1.5mbit ADSL line at home, you'd be cucked by a 20GB/month download quota...

If you had the time and foresight, the week prior to an upcoming LAN would be spent dumping stuff leeched from previous LANs onto CD or DVD.
bonus point for someone just sharing his whole pc without write protection. imagine someone's desktop folder becoming a toilet stall wall with shitposting and you're not far off.

So I was on my universities DC++ hub.

So many tv shows.

I had a yuuge collection of mp3, I got from a torrent site.

I was sad to see that the only thing people would take from my stash were classical music and porn,

I started to wonder if they were listening to classical music while watching porn to see if it lines up in any meaning full way.

I don't think it's necessary to hoard popular media - you will always be able to find episodes of The Office or Drake albums or whatever years from now, simply because it's so widespread on the p2p network already. It's still nice to keep a local copy if you wish for speed but I would be much more inclined to save harder to find media such as older TV shows (some of the more obscure ones having no known copies) or porn (which seems to disappear quickly and sometimes is hard to search for).

I guess that depends on whether or not someone will find Drake or The Office problematic in the future. If you have the storage space to save local video files, just do it.

I used to make youtube videos for a niche audience that were like 10 minutes from a single camera angle with a few cuts and no music or face. I thought they were too boring for most people, but I sure as hell don't want to end up in jumpcut youtuber-voice flashy graphic hell.
