Do we know if she is formally contracted in this role either as an employee or freelance? Or is it just something that she does on the side? Because if she isn't, the presence of individuals in companies that are obviously involved at a senior decision making level, but whose exact role/job title is either obscured or unclear, is something that always raises an eyebrow from me, especially when they're family or friends of the director.

And, even if her role itself is all above board, the fact that the company has suddenly started to spend excessively at the same time the Sebastian's have decided to upgrade their lifestyle would raise a couple of red flags with me from a compliance standpoint. Especially considering the same person is (likely?) controlling the finances in both the company and the owners household.

I know fuck all about Canadian financial regulations so couldn't say whether that would be enough to warrant an investigation. But with how others have pointed out how 'loose' they are with things like company property and import regulations, it just looks like a whole lotta smoke for there not to be any fire.

Besides what other people mentioned, I'd like to point out tech people often go into these kinds of startup companies young. And, without experience with the world, they treat their company like it's family, as opposed to the transactional "you give me some of your time and expertise, I give you money in return" agreement well-adjusted people and their employers have. And so they treat the office as a home as opposed to a place of work, and are incredibly easy to manipulate into doing, and putting up with, way more than they should.

There's shit I'd do for my family and friends that I would never in a million years do for my workplace. Kids straight out of college, unless they were raised right and had proper work experience outside of 3 shifts a week at a coffee place serving shitty brew to their peers, don't think like that.

Couldn't help noticing the CEO doesn't blink at all in the video until he tells a story about a potential sponsor who explicitly offered to pay extra for them to tell a specific narrative about their products. COO Nick Light was right beside the CEO and fervently refused, but the CEO laughed and told him there's a "better way to handle that where we could just soften up a little bit," followed by this face:

What did he mean by this? There's a better way to handle a potential sponsor offering to pay you to tell a specific story about their products rather than refuse outright? Just soften up a little bit? What does that mean?

I think there is some midlife crisis for Linus going on and Yvonne taking a realistic look and allowing him to buy more stuff. However, whether this greater freedom is based on predicted future income VS being based on actual cash is unknown. I don't doubt they have the money to buy and renovate a mansion, I doubt they have the money to keep it until and after retirement.

The warehouse purchase was likely based on the mindset of "real estate is never a bad investment". Whether this is correct or not, only time will tell given the obvious bubble and inflated prices, especially in their area. In general, Linus is the kind of person that had made a shell of a controller is solid gold and wanted to use it, while Yvonne is the one that wanted to melt it again or sell it.

That is actually the only part that I liked and definitely agreed with. I think the issue is that those LTT retards had probably replied to the company in those exact words, maybe with an emoji for good measure. Seeing how they manage email comms, I believe it.
So, maybe, don't tell a multi-billion company "👏 ABSOLUTELY 👏 NO 👏" and instead write something in a more professional manner. You can still write what amounts to "lol no", just be... diplomatic about it

Yea ... I might she might be legit and it might have been that bad. But there's no evidence, it's just her words and maybe some screenshots. She should have pulled a Crowder and just recorded all her phone conversations while there if she wanted some ammo.

My personal headcannon is this;

Covid was a boom time for the computer industry and youtubers in general. With tons of money coming in and viewcounts way up, Linus decided to aim for the fences and expand in a big way. Probably by going to a bank, showing them the numbers he was pulling, and then getting a big fat load to buy that warehouse, 10mil testing facility and a pickleball(?) building.

Now viewcounts are down, the computer industry is going through a dry spell and all that $$$ that was flowing is gone. Linus is overextended with a bunch of debit and huge overhead to manage. Hence the move to content mill 25+ vids a week and bitching about paying an extra 370 to do a video right,

It's great fun working that kind of job when there's legitimate follow-up to the discrepancies you find. There's a sense of satisfaction from seeing security escort a former employee out the front door after you provide evidence of theft to your (or his) manager.

It's a soul-crushing job when you do the same thing but everything you send up the ladder gets ignored while the shelves quietly and slowly empty out.

This second account seems to be drama farming a bit, and may not be the same person/the original leaker. Some of the comments on this account can be seen from their profile page but not in the comment thread itself, which iirc means they've been deleted by subreddit moderators.
