I was just going to post about this character. If you read between the lines she seems to be mischaracterizing or taking very mild incidents you'd probably get anywhere and forming them into a narrative that sounds much worse than it actually was when condensed together. And the end result is a moderately incompetently run outfit is made to seem like a hellscape dungeon.

These type of women and they usually are women I like to call 'drama torpedos'. They sit in storage for years or sometimes decades then usually after an entity or individual is accosted by some scandal and is foundering. They hop aboard the victim bandwagon to deliver a drama explosion that dramatically raises the stakes and tanks the reputation of the target in what was formerly a minor controversy because the drama payload almost always includes some accusation of a sexual nature and bEliEve aLl woMyN .

We've seen this over and over again from organizations that insist on hiring from the they/them crowd. Channel Awesome is another recent example that comes to mind.

I like to think about it as a another supreme display of LTTs incompetence. She was hired cause of how many simps she got after participating in an LTT contest essentially just for being a woman in a male space despite being a walking talking red flag.
In any real "job" I have ever had, there has always been extensive backgrounds checks to make sure you are up to snuff not a serial killer. Things like checking out your social media and doing a credit score report.

If they would have done that they would have seen stuff like people in this thread and on 4chin found: Like how she owes 12k in taxes or the multiple mentall illness she claims she has or one of the stories where she claims somebody commited a crime against her. Its classic BPD thot could be real but most likely just shit she has made up for attention.

Do we know if she is formally contracted in this role either as an employee or freelance? Or is it just something that she does on the side? Because if she isn't, the presence of individuals in companies that are obviously involved at a senior decision making level, but whose exact role/job title is either obscured or unclear, is something that always raises an eyebrow from me, especially when they're family or friends of the director.

And, even if her role itself is all above board, the fact that the company has suddenly started to spend excessively at the same time the Sebastian's have decided to upgrade their lifestyle would raise a couple of red flags with me from a compliance standpoint. Especially considering the same person is (likely?) controlling the finances in both the company and the owners household.

I know fuck all about Canadian financial regulations so couldn't say whether that would be enough to warrant an investigation. But with how others have pointed out how 'loose' they are with things like company property and import regulations, it just looks like a whole lotta smoke for there not to be any fire.

My uninformed guess is that since this is not a publicly traded company, as long as they are paying taxes and not breaking the law nobody gives a fuck. It's their company, their board, their money, their rules. If the chink suddenly is CFO but also has Linus and the family money by the balls that's two private matters.

@Rei is Shit. Almost 100% agree, but you are missing the hiring decisions and huge purchases Linus did for the merch. I think it was something about two containers instead of part of one for the over 200$ backpacks (cannot find the video, it was mentioned in a Wan show). Some merch stuff has not been as successful, basically probably everything that is available in the store currently is mostly stuff difficult to move.
But TLDR: he increased fixed expenses at a time when his market was going up, and now with this not-actually-recession things are going bad

What a little creep. He can willfully ruin the reputations of other companies, but Christ forbid that someone speculate as to his "careless" handling of a prototype (which he proceeded to drag through the mud even though he knew and ADMITTED he didn't use it correctly).

Then, he goes on to say that people were "accusing [him] of sweeping it under the rug" - yeah, you did by saying you didn't "sell" it, you "auctioned" it off with the same aloofness one would hand over a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. After that part, he says there was ONLY a delay of 2 business days. How many weeks have gone by without Billet getting back either the waterblock or GPU they sent? Didn't they say it was about 9 weeks yesterday? Why did Linus think it was a good idea to smear the company for faulty test results and never apologize for that ON TOP OF "auctioning off" the waterblock and never returning the GPU?

At every turn, Linus, you've shrugged off responsibility - Linus' entire segment was about moving the goalposts (i.e. "I maybe screwed up A LITTLE BIT, but take a look at what people are saying!") and blaming other people (hint to Linus; for future reference, YOU as owner and operator of a company are responsible for what your employees DO, regardless of how you feel about it). Right at the ass end of his segment, he goes on to apologize for the review of the waterblock and the spiel he posted on the forums. This should have been the only response he made - the first two minutes of his segment were deflecting and accusatory towards others, and really fucked up public perception of him. Only the final minute of his three minute segment was worth a damn. He's like Ernest Hemingway - he needs a good editor like Max Perkins to sift through his personality disorders to make it worth sitting through.

The only apology I will accept is from Luke, and it was (in my mind) completely unnecessary, because I don't think he had any direct control over all of this shit. Yvonne had a smirk on her face. Fat baldy cracked a joke that was unfunny and lent the entire segment a lack of sincerity. New CEO man was weird-looking and I found that I couldn't maintain eye contact with him. Gary (the head of labs) didn't offend me save that his Brian Posehn impersonation could be in poor taste.

Absolutely. I'm pretty convinced that hid wife Yvonne is the real business genius behind the multimillion $ company Linis Tech Tips. As a small fun fact: When the Elon Musk hack happened, they made a video explaining what happened. In this video Yvonne and Linus were in their office together, working with YouTube on the issue. The comments were all "Yvonne we love that you didn't leave Linus alone but helped him". During tge WAN show however, he admitted that he took care of the kids while Yvonne resolved the issue with YouTube's rep.

• It does raise a massive issue where Linus knew about allegations that far back, but always said on Wan that LTT was a great place to work at. Also, now buried dozens on pages ago, I pointed out that in an email chain about some product complaint on LTT forum, Linus just sent an email with a link to the forum to an employee, around lunchtime. The employee responded one hour later (now about half past one). The issue was not even urgent, or didn't seem to be. Random guy writes something on a forum and I have to skip lunch? Fuck off

Not trying to cause more problems and a lengthier process for Billet, but they could easily take LMG to small claims with that. They could add into the cost the time they spent rebuilding the damn thing (9 weeks, right?). In this case, I might be more like they are - just trying to get their money back for the original prototype because they can't bear to do any other kind of business with LMG, even if it is taking them to the cleaners.

I think it was a mixture of LTT trying to pass themselves as a serious testing company by just buying expensive shit and calling it a day while GN always had a very careful testing methodology inherited from earlier giants like anandtech and guru3d with far less budget or staff.

I think Steve started getting pissed at LTT showing up to the big boy club with a big wad of cash and nothing else to show for and started influencing normies into becoming know it alls butting in into serious discussions because following YouTubers is better than doing your own research.

Also I feel like since the warranty shit GN has started to get really bothered by LTTs behavior, I think the tipping point was them starting to call out other serious reviewers in their own content, specially GN by name.
