LTT shows what its like to fall off the algorithm by just taking a couple weeks off. Its why subscriptions not longer matter and all that matters is shitting out constant content. Youtube is no longer viable for your average person like it used to be. Long gone are the days of creative channels that were interesting and welcome the days of just throw away trash content to satiate the algorithm.

Pretty spectacular loss for two videos and one tweet chain.

It's been about a month since I last looked at their numbers, let's see where they are at now.

Currently at 34,539 subscribers, a loss of 7,883 from the highest, or 18.6%.

From the last update, they've lost 1,684 subscribers which is an additional $8,420 per month, or $101,040 per year.

Grand total, they've lost $39,415 per month or $472,980 per year.

Again, this is the absolute minimum, using only the lowest figure of $5 per subscriber. The real number is likely much higher.

Assuming their employees are paid around 80k per year (I'm being generous here, much more generous than Linus), this is the salary of 6 people.

The most interesting thing is the bleeding hasn't stopped. They saw a small bump in subscribers after their apology video, but that quickly went away and kept dropping. I imagined their brain dead viewers would be happy with the +1/-1 chromosome "Here's the plan." video, but credit where it's due, people do seem to be staying away.

It's not just the algoyrhythm, it's the fact Youtube (Google) maliciously tampered with subscriptions to the point of ruining them. People can't trust even that to deliver videos they want anymore, it was found years ago you actually *have* to use the shitty bell notification system to have a chance of seeing everything, even then I'm pretty sure it isn't foolproof. I have no doubts they did this shit to try and fight what they consider 'extreme' views.
