Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

Vivaldi. Chromium. So it's wonky and needs to "warm up" before it's in effect, something that Raymond Hill has documented. For example, if I freshly open an incognito tab or just the browser and it loads YouTube for example, if that gets loaded before uBO "warms up", it won't work, I'll momentarily see an ad and I'll just have to refresh. Happens rarely since 99% of the time I close all my tabs before closing the browser so that warm up finishes before I start browsing.

Yes, I know, Manifest v2 is getting killed off and I shouldn't be using Chromium. I'd love to switch to something Firefox based but Floorp is the closest thing to Vivaldi and it's far from being usable to me.

Another Vivaldi user. Wait, can I attribute the browser being slightly sluggish on the first 30ish seconds of launching due to said "warm up" effect?

I don't think so, the uBO issue is purely on how it works on Chromium and it happens on all Chromium browsers, and it only affects uBO's ability to filter shit. Basically with Firefox, nothing will work until uBO is ready. With Chromium, everything will work regardless of whether or not uBO is ready. There is an option to have it work like on Firefox but it can be wonky so it's not on by default.
Maybe you have an older CPU and Chromium enjoys newer hardware. Shit like Vivaldi or VS Code sped up for me a shitton when I switched from a Haswell i5 to an Alder Lake i5, and heavy sites like Cookie Clicker also got better performance. But that's all on Chromium and affects absolutely everything that uses it.

First sighting in a while.

Happy Easter frens, but you must deal with this "super lol amazeballs" quirky April Fools video a day earlier. What's sad is he probably did buy this house as another asset to rent to illegals or spies.

Maybe because Tranthony is here Linus wanted it to sync up with the previous tranny day of visibility -ACK!

I like how he probably thought troooning out was a good idea and would probably get him into a more proeminent role and now he's stuck in the smallest deskt in some forgotten corner.
That's probably from a post-"coming out" realization that adding "bearded lady" to his "voluptuous beauty" clown world act won't magically make him feel more comfortable in public viewing.

I can't point to anything in his life that's gotten better after being employed/coddled at LMG.

How much self awareness can one man lack? He thinks that just because he can still afford to hire 100 people, he should, and doesn't seem capable of understanding that fewer people would actually benefit his operation. No Linus, you don't need 5 people to make YouTube thumbnails as their full time job, and those 15 cameramen? They're taking you for a ride. GN and HUB have higher quality videos, and very small teams by comparison, so Linus' crew of 100+ is just a vanity and waste of his money.

HOLY SHIT LMFAO. Troonthony is watching an LTT video where he was the main star before he trooned out, as Linus completely avoids acknowledging his existence post-troonout. That, is fucking, hilarious. :story:

I like to believe he's standing there scrubbing the old TechShrek video scripts for any mention of male pronouns. The LTT Content Sanitization Team Leader.

Nah I think him reminiscing of the good old days when he still got camera time, before the troonout and the subsequent broom closet lockup by Linus is funnier. Makes me want to quote the end of Wyspiański's "The Wedding".

Linus, his wife, the new CEO, and whoever else in charge of "business decisions" allow it. Those 15 cameramen and editors aren't taking him for a ride, Linus, his wife (the other 50% co-owner), the new CEO, Payroll Officer, and whoever else is paying them to do... something. The bigger problem he has are those two fucking office buildings, the second of one he bought during the craziest real estate spike in the history of forever; and isn't making as much money as he'd probably like, since he bought it for his labs projects, and God knows what they're doing besides vanity projects. I'm not a business person in any manner, and I'm not interested in kicking people to the curb; but I'm willing to bet if I had a real look at their workload and who does what, I could find a number of people who are beyond redundant. I remember seeing how Game Grump has like 20+ people on staff and most of them do... ... ... something. And it's not that I hate artists, but keeping artists on staff better mean you need something more than a 5 minute thumbnail job for them to do. Otherwise, you can go to fiver or some other contractor site every year for your merch run; I need a spring/summer set and a fall/winter set, 5 batches of stickers (these were our most prominent games/memes of the year), and whatever else, bring them on for like a 3-4 month contract and work with them. Then ship the designs off to t-spring or whoever and bam.

Not saying Sarah needs to be fired; but those Pantone Chips she got that costed like $10,000. That's Macy's and Balenciaga tier shit, that's for designers who have design teams and sweatshops and release shit every fucking month. We know what color orange you like Linus, and there's only a handful colors that go well with orange; you don't need a $10,000 toy that will be obsolete in a year or two because colors and shit fade over time, even if it sits in a nine-to-five office.

Linus could spot me like 10% of the money he burns in a month and I could set myself up for a long time.

I can't blame her. Your dumbass employer hands you a blank check to get stuff for your job you go fucking ham on it.
Oh I know, but at the same time, do a 5 minute cost benefit analysis or something; especially with how much he loves to complain about money on video. Weirdo wants to fucking blow $10,000 every year on something he doesn't need, that's on him, but it's not gonna stop me from calling him retarded.
