It affected everyone not just the people that shilled honey. It replaced everyone's referral links and it intentionally didn't give people the best deals if the company partnered with them.

To play devils advocate, I'd argue if they have any realistic claim to those affiliates? If a user willfully installs an extension that snipes links, that's on the user. It's not unlike adblock extensions.
that's not what this issue is about. honey is committing fraud, that is the issue.
honey is literally rerouting where the consumer's affiliate link goes, without the consumer's consent or knowledge. this is called cookie stuffing, this is illegal and is fraud. this is PERTINENT to the consumer.

Well, yes and no, I think. They promised you to give you the best discount, which was a bold faced lie, which increased the revenue of the companies in cahoots with Honey. Honey marketed itself as providing the best coupons but when you went looking yourself you could find much better ones. The difference was maybe not technically stolen by Honey, but they and the Stores together manipulated the clients in not saving more.
