A big part of the beginning of the end was when Tranthony got BTFO’d by linus on a tech shop challenge video.
Linus was dicking around as usual and STILL lapped tranthony.
Tranthony’s whole identity was “yes I’m absolutely horribly disgusting with disfigured hair but I’m competent at tech” yet that was completely publicly shown to not be the case at all.
Plus the, used for content, but the “the most absolute basic of maintenance wasn’t done on our video storage server so we lost data for the 4th, 5th, 6th time” and supposedly this ogre was supposed to be competent with that also.
Eventually it’s just denying reality, like tranthony thinking he’ll be happy sterilizing himself instead of just overdosing.

Megalag honey video.
Overall I thought this video was very good. I think he shouldn't have left it end on a cliff hangar for the other part of the protection racket but gotta get that money I guess. Surprised this is from some relatively unknown guy. The investigation isn't terribly complicated either IMO. All you need to do is submit a coupon to honey and then buy the same thing again and notice it didn't apply. I'm almost incredulous no one noticed this earlier. Still good on him.

Linus part (both him talking about it and the clip) is from 15:42 - 17:32. Not even 2 minutes and just slightly over 2% of the video.
I really had a hard time understanding how this all started just because this video clearly isn't aimed a linus so I was looking for the "actual" reason. But I guess when you're a thin skinned bitch boy who's been seething for the last two years anything looks like an attack. Seriously the clip is only like two minute out of nearly 90. Linus's premise is retarded that he would "look bad" if he told people they were being scammed.
Also surprised at how many farmers are okay with or even defending honey.

(says 24th in the title, but says "Streamed on Jan 25, 2025". After the Louis video in any case.)
Despite only being like 4 minutes it was hard to get through. He says "Steve published false and damaging information about a competitor" which as far as I can tell is just completely false. Only sort-of legitimate complaint is that Steve commented on Louis's video instantly. That's probably because Louis is telling Steve to stop being so naive and that he is publishing a video but it still looks suspect.

Linus also says that tons of people have reached out to support him. IMO feels like he's just trying to make it seem like everyone is on his side. I think the only legitimate thing you could say for linus is that they probably didn't know honey was a protection racket when they dropped them but their actions since are damning.
Also accuses GN of "stealthily removing the word journalism from the GN patreon". I think this might be a significant mis-representation because GN decided to split their channel into a hardware channel and advocacy channel but I'm not sure.
