Lionsgate is apparently going to attempt to reboot Highlander. Chad Stahelski is directing.

It being a Lionsgate production, there's a near-certainty it will suck hard enough to have an event horizon.

Going by anything released in the series after Highlander, I think you already done killed it.

Can we at least try and have some originality these days? Or at least reboot shit that is flawed?

Instead of seeing something good brought to current day standards, how about making Ishtar watchable?

Can't be the worse Hightlander movie. Honestly for a remake they should just take the idea of the original movie and do something different with it, kind of most remakes that turn out good, such as Scarface and The Thing.
 
This going to be crap I just know it, no doubt they'll make Ramirez a BAME and heavily diversify 16th century Scotland. Probably add in some chink immortals who can do no wrong to appeal to bat-eating viewers.

...... if they're not going off the original film though, it would be cool if they adapted the story of the cancelled video game where the MacLeod character starts off as a captured slave by the Romans. Not sure how he would called MacLeod at that point in time though, would probably be some strange Pictish name.

They should call it Wakander because everyone will be nigger, so pretending that they are from Highlands wouldn't make any sense.

It will be crap.

I do not mind them remaking classics but it is kind of boring when they spaz out when everyone likes the original more.
