List your "hidden gems" that may or may not be "hidden"

I don't how popular it was when it was originally running but i highly recommend the TV show "Rectify".

It's about a guy getting released from death row after 20 after being wrongfully convicted of rape and murder at 16. It's a slow character study of him and his family readjusting to life whilst basically being strangers to each other and dealing with his hometown where some people are still convinced that he is guilty.

Maybe not for everyone but i loved it.

Rectify is legitimately one of the greatest, most unique things I've seen on television. Highly recommended.

Pretty good 1979 jazz-funk album for those who like Casiopea.
It's debatable if it's "hidden" as the track "Let's Not Talk About It" is known for being the inspiration for the underground world theme from Super Mario, but still a great find for the album as a whole.

Youtube, to be more correct about youtube algorithm. Sure it's made to maximize your watch time. But if you know how to game, create various cookies/profiles. You can get some recommendations like this:

I love film noir, the seedy characters, the style, the black & white. But I have to admit that some of the classics don't particularly age gracefully. Some of them suffer from being rather slow (looking at you The Big Sleep!) and they can also be rather preachy in giving the moral that "crime doesn't pay."

1950's Night and the City for me is one of the highlights in the whole genre. It has a shorter runtime so the film rarely drags on. The characters are portrayed with little sympathy excluding the romantic lead. It has a full wrestling scene which was fun to watch. Also a nice change of pace to have it set in London.

The owners of it have little concern over it with the whole movie has been free on Youtube for the last 4 years. If you have 90 spare minutes with an interest in Classic Films you should check it out.

I discovered this fascinating travel vlog KeiKeiKei. An utterly impressive Japanese tourist who becomes fluent in foreign languages and then decides to go and meet up with the locals that frankly no one wants to talk to.

Here he is getting hanging out with the low class hoodlums in Romania.

And here he's in what he proclaims to be one of the most dangerous areas in Spain

I am green with envy how this guy can pick up different languages and addition have the balls to go around the least desirable ghettoes. In my eyes if all was right with the world this guy would be one of the biggest Youtube vloggers,
