The thingy finally worked for me, too.
Since I wasn't sure whether the failed gifts wouldn't be processed after a while, I tested first with $5 and when that went through without a problem, I made my first 'real' contribution to the coffers. @Null , if the card-option remains for a relatively long time, there will probably follow another gift of the same amount.


People keep pointing out there are other — and very importantly: anonymous! — ways to gift money, but I run into a lot of problems due to location. For instance, if anyone can tell me if there is a similar site like privacy.com, where I DON'T need to claim that I'm a US-citizen to register, please point me in the right direction. When contributing to a legal fund, I want to keep it correct and not commit a lil' fraud.

For credit cards it's either using a permanent one (like I have) or a temporary/rechargeable card but you can't have both at the same time. None of them are anonymous, nor are money orders: my banking info will be on display. The post office works the same as a bank and "money orders" are just regular bank transfers with an extra step. The kind of money order I see people talk about here has to go through something like Western Union. The common paper cheque book I often see in films/series is a relic from the past here, it didn't make it into the 21st century.

And regarding the ultimate, most anonymous payment with cryptocurrency that's been touted here: how is it private if Mr Tax-Collector is allowed to tax me if I make a profit through buying & withdrawing (even unintentionally)? Most wallets that aren't from shady companies have to remain active (meaning: linked to the banking account you're working with) for at least two years.
 
Null mentioned on MATI that he had a couple whales on the hook that were planning on matching donations into the tens of thousands. I seriously doubt anyone planning on matching would have donated in the last 24 hours. I think if these whales are still on board, combined with crypto donations, we are going to clear 100k.
