Litigation Fund

Am I going to have to five whys this?

Why does the IOLTA no longer accept bank payments?
Because they’re cucks who complained about how not every donation was $1000+ for a lawsuit. | Archive

Basically, they don’t want little people being allowed to throw their weight around and as such worked to disable the most convenient option for people. Hopefully we got a few that overcame the friction that comes with showing up to fill out a check and/or money order after IOLTA banned usage of credit and debit cards.

I've explained this before but there's so much baseless speculation and repetition of questions answered incorrectly.

Trust accounts are called IOLTAs.
Credit card transactions can be charged back for various reasons.
IOLTAs are legally protected and cannot be touched by anyone but the beneficiary.

Therefore, if credit card payments deposit into an IOLTA, there is no way for MasterCard or Visa Card to legally take their pound of flesh if they need to. That is why they do not permit crowdfunding into trusts.

Edit: There are theoretical ways around this, but for one reason or another all options are less than ideal. We can pick the most ideal imperfect answer and run with it later if I need to.

man, i can still remember when i logged in on the dark web to get here and the website was being hunted down to the point where null was even sceptical if he can keep this up for much longer... the 180 here is refreshing to see, specialy when the people who started this are nog getting into full blast from every direction.

Has Null ever discussed what he'd do with the leftover money if he ended up winning all three legal battles in the end and still had a bunch of money left over?

It brings me great pleasure and happiness that the forum keeps on taking wins, the tide seriously is turning. Troons are losing power more and more every day, and hopefully someday we can go back to ridiculing them for the sex pests and freaks they are.
Fuck, I wish. This shit should've never come to pass but we allowed too many degenerates to abuse our generosity. Thankfully not everyone is blind to the insanity that is troons and DEI

Lovely stuff, but the admission of wrongdoing accompanied by a statement of PUBLIC APOLOGY would've been even bettah.

And we just won!

They took the most logical path which I thought they would, I'm just surprised they took this long to arrive at the conclusion this was the best solution. All I did was throw some cash at the problem, all the accolades go to Null and Hardin, probably some others working behind the scenes as well (paralegals, junior associates, etc.). And of course the entire forums and the interesting people who frequent it.

“We have no DIRECT knowledge”. Why not just admit NO knowledge?
I would bet that is a statement crafted by an attorney. They're not just concerned about Kiwi Farms but 3rd parties - regulatory agencies, law enforcement. Possibly for other sites. Think of "direct" as 1st hand knowledge or physical evidence. Less of a concern for this site but it might mean that there's more oversight from the mysterious investors. But also fuck Epik, those blatantly defamatory statements should've necessitated a retraction within a more reasonable timeframe.

They or someone within their org thought they were punching down. They and a lot of other parties have finally realized - people just want to talk shit on the internet and document 3rd parties insanity/potentially illegal activities/stupidity. And I'd add - you might like it if you tried it for yourselves.

It would actually be about 4000toz.
COMEX time. I'm joking of course.

Sometimes Bing AI is really fucking good.

I didn't donate to the legal fund but I, like, thought about it, so I consider myself part of this W
Same, however I have promised myself that once the hodlnaut bankruptcy has concluded and I'm paid back, I will donate some depending on how much I end up getting back. I currently have around $10k in crypto tied up in the proceedings.

It cost me around $5k to get the amount of bitcoin that I currently have tied up, so if I can get at least half of what I'm owed back I'll consider that a win.
