So, are you guys familiar with Lizard Squad?
If not, they're a group of unconscionable script-kiddies who are responsible for systemic DDoS attacks against various server networks and platforms, and have been active since mid 2012. In the past, they've temporarily offlined Steam, Origin, PSN, and Xbox Live, and rather infamously knocked out Twitch - but they only hit true notoriety in early August of this year, when they managed to divert the flight of Sony Online Entertainment's head, John Smedley, with a bomb threat. This, paired with a series of tweets proclaiming sympathy with ISIS, succeeded in managing to get about half their number party vanned by the FBI.
Well, they're back at it, and they're once again patting themselves on the back about it on Twitter. They managed to offline Xbox LIVE and several other games' servers, including Destiny, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and more. Because of how catastrophically offlined Xbox LIVE was, people couldn't even browse or use Netflix. LIVE is already back up, and PSN is expected to be back up to speed in a few hours.
That said, I really don't get how these fuckers have been repeatedly allowed to operate on Facebook and Twitter. Their pages have been wiped out multiple times, and each time they have, they have a new one go up that somehow manages to persist for months whilst masutrbating furiously about it.
Your thoughts?
