Great thing about anonymity was that you could have advice and health threads. I don't think those could work here even if people have taken proper steps to keep their info safe. Not having a name/avatar attached to you feels a lot safer.

Not exactly the same, but on Mumsnet they let you change your username as many times as you want and other users can't see your name change history. You can post in the "30 days only" section and your thread will be automatically deleted after a month. You can also have the thread removed sooner if you report the first post and say it contains personal information. There are no avatars.

The Mumsnet userbase skews older than lc but it means you get a lot of good advice from people who have been there themselves or are professionals. They also have a lot more users so you tend to get a lot of responses quickly.

It's basically like r/relationships with a throwaway account except they don't hate women. The name and front page are a bit misleading as it's not all about parenting and you can post about anything.

At this point I really fail to understand why and how this site continues to last. Most of the threads seems abandon outside of a few twitter/newfags/troons/desperate cam whores and the farmers too stupid to cut their loses. It's honestly reads like most of discord farmers also transfered over once they realized that they could go full retard w little repurcussions or disgust towards them. For God sake one of these people, likely a troon atp, has ran across a few threads blabbing on about over compensati g terf shit that needs to include "porn sick" or "girlies" in the same sentence almost every time.

The funny thing about lolcow.farm is it manages to take the worst traits of traditional forums (tyrannical micro-moderation) and marry it with the worst traits of image boards (low-effort imitative shockbait posting)
Truly an unholy chimaera of a garbage website.
I also have no fathom of an idea how it costs $130 to provide services for an image board that size. I know an altchan with 3x lolcowfarm's posts-per-hour that costs $15/mo to host.

Maybe it's because of the shit codebase (it would have to be REALLY shit,) or maybe it's because the administrator skims $100 off the top every month for "labor fees" and doesn't say a thing.

So I went back in after last night and began to comb through the thread properly and a lot of you are right. She is literally just one nutty bitch for little to no reason. To the point that people have to tell her to chill out in a thread that was supposed to be about the site's retirement. And at this point, I genuinely don't think she'll ever give up the shitty site completely. Either she's too retarded to let anything go, she genuinely thinks she's the only one good enough to run the site, or both. All I know is at the very least, this is going to have an interesting final finale if it ever comes.

There’s an entire thread in META which consists of the admin & her buddies a-logging the same few people, me included. It’s easy for her to use KF as a scapegoat for all of her problems because:
- the threads on her site aren’t even funny or entertaining to read. They’re just catty & mean with lack of evidence or documentation
- she hates men and women who don’t mind being on websites alongside men
- KF doesn’t look like a 2009 style failed attempt at recreating the TV series Gossip Girl as a website
I like that despite being a cow I’ve still made her and her userbase (some of which are totally definitely not her disguised as a regular anon poster) seethe enough for her to talk about me in multiple meta threads.

I made one response, and then didn't bother going back to look again.

I was around in 2017, for not even a whole year, and then I left the discord, and fucked off. I never did anything relevant in my time as a mod (because it was only a couple of months), aside from red texting Null once, which was kind of funny. I never really posted on the site either. Maybe a handful of times back in 2017/2018, but aside from that, barely ever at all, until my recent post.

I don't know if it's because I post here, or what the deal is that has made people so angry, but I dont consider myself to be relevant at all, I never was. I also don't think my posts here regarding the current admin/state of the site have been rude, or over the top. I'm not sitting here trying to slam her, I'm just speculating about *my* personal experience (again, 2017 experience, so not even recent), and the current condition of the site.

Usually I just skim the thread on lolcow for image posts because their non image posts are boring and overly petty but I saw them raging over Kiwi like they're somehow not doing the same thing. I don't think they realize that a good chunk of users take up space on both sites especially when there's threads of 'shared' cows. Yeah I've noticed a lot of screenshots and memes shared to both farms, that's why I was surprised about their disapproval of us. Thought we were "on the same team" kind of thing, at least in the same arena. I gotta read through this thread more, seems to be some personal vendetta against null/men in general at first glance.

I asked the admin around 5 months ago to delete my thread (in all fairness it violated the site’s global rules) ended up in conversation with this woman for months. At first I thought she may be alright but she started defending cp each time I brought up a thread that contained obvious photos of naked children. Considering she’d told me everything about herself (no idea why), one night I got particularly angry & told a few people & her site, what her name & college was. Since then she’s formed a hate campaign against me which included pinning my thread to the top & threatening me. It got to the point this woman actually infiltrated group chats I was in to alert people to my threads, harassing several of my family members online & actively lying about me. Her so called dox consists of things she willingly & knowingly told cows, farmhands & users of her site. I am actually scared of this woman because she won’t stop & because a lot of people dislike her, multiple people, now that they know who she is, are obviously talking about her. She is literally holding me accountable for about 50+ people’s hatred towards her. I’m actually pushing for a restraining order which is something I never thought I’d have to do or would ever normally do, I’d just rather this woman didn’t turn up at my school
