Further to the reading of anime as an autist-friendly form of entertainment, consider other examples like Sonic the Hedgehog and Thomas the Tank Engine. Stuff that expresses itself as sledgehammer blunt as possible breaks through the inability to parse expression and emotion.

I can see why someone would want to investigate a genre of anime that is extremely taboo and see why it’s popular from the perspective of an enjoyer of loli/shota.

That being said, just because I can understand someone else’s viewpoint/reasoning doesn’t mean I agree with it or condone it. At first, lolicon can be viewed as harmless but nobody who’s well adjusted is going to immediately get into lolicon.

It’s the Porn Addiction Pipeline, at first is traditional, then more risky, and it gets more and more extreme. Lolicon is at the lower levels. You’re already fucked up if a drawing of a little boys or girl arouses you. And that definitely reflects hidden desires that can come up in real life.

Proper moderation on that hellhole is nonexistent. Even if an account gets banned, they just make an alt. At this point just ban the fucking IPs or hardware IDs. They already have EAC so there’s no excuse to not add additional security to their shitty moralfag trauma dumping simulator.

Unfortunately they are kinda right with Zenless Zone Zero as the artist Waterkuma was the lead artist for the game at one point (not sure if he still is). Pretty obvious from some of the characters he has designed that he's a lolicon. If you want an example look up Bache from Azur Lane.

I'll add that I'm guessing the character you're talking about is Ju Fufu? I remember seeing her trailers on Twitter and was confused by all the people calling her a loli. Funnily enough, they've had IP and HWID bans an option as early as 2017, but seems like bypassing that stuff is trivial - there's a very sizeable market of people making and selling cheats for VRC.

Anime is written very direct. There is little subtext left up to the imagination. Characters clearly communicate how they are feeling and what they are thinking.

One curious little factoid about this is that, as far as I understand from marinating in weeb circles, Japanese people in real life are extremely indirect in speaking to the point where there's a whole aspect of not being too direct as not to piss people off; conversely, Japanese media including anime and music is absurdly direct. For example, the phrase "aishiteru" (I love you) has a reputation of being very rarely used even between married couples, but you wouldn't be able to tell from Japanese songs which spam it harder than Rubick's Fade Bolt. It's as if a large portion of Japanese media is based around people venting frustration at being unable to say what they mean in real life.
Given your attempted deep dive you probably already know this, but I wanted to point it out because I think about it a lot nonetheless. Japan as a country seems like it acts like someone with some autism-adjacent mental issue, which may be yet another part of why anime and Japanese culture appeals to autismos.
