The character Ellie (in the first game) isn't sexualized by the game itself, it was pedos who started to sexualize her. Not just any pedos, though, specifically lolicons. Shadman made sexualized drawings of the 14 year old character Ellie and many other lolicons did too. I haven't seen the Obi Wan Kenobi show so I can't speak on that, but I have seen the response lolicons had to the Bioshock games. It was deeply disturbing, to say the least. Every time, without fail, lolicons will sexualize any child in any piece of media. I'm sure there's more examples beyond what's been said.

The gist of it is that it has a cute and somewhat realistic little girl that a lot of people are publicly lusting after. The game has no moments that can raise your alarms in regards to pedo content but the fact that degenerate internet weirdos go so hard for this game is an unavoidable fact.

Overall the game is pretty fun. Think about it like Dead Space with combat minigames in betweet

Could also be the case that the people behind the cryana badge did it specifically as a dog whistle & the rest of their coworkers are none the wiser.
