Looking for a TTRPG Group - I prefer Star Wars FFG, RuneQuest, Stars Without Numbers, Call of Cthulu, and, if I must, D&D 5e

Hello

Just a lad here trying to find a long-term tabletop group to play with. I have experience with a myriad of systems, mostly as the eternal-GM, but I'd like to actually play in a game for a while now.

Anyone got an extra seat?

Also I'm in GMT+1.

This sounds like it would be fun. But would I need Discord? Because I'm not a paedophile and don't want to become one.

I know that FFG Star Wars game and I know Lovecraft well though have never played CoC. I've never played D&D 5e and honestly the game doesn't really appeal. Stars Without Number sounds intriguing.

EDIT: Just realised you're hoping to play rather than GM. I could possibly run something but would need time to prep.

I'm pretty crushed for time ATM but I wouldn't mind seeing if something would work. Played mostly DND, some worlds without number, which is like a stars without number spinoff. I'm a shitty artist too so even if time doesn't work I can make y'all little sprites or something.

I am interested (I have wanting to do ttrpg for years since circumstances have made me unable to find a new group for a long time) , if anyone need digital copies of pics to play I have over 300gb of those from dozens of different ttrpg
I'll post what I have later when I find the written lists of what I torrented
Edit: I would be free on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday to play

Edit 2: Here's the list of what I have:
2300AD, Aberrant, Alien Rpg, Aliens Adventure Game, Alien vs Predator Rpg, Alternate, Ars Magica, Athens Stars, Babylon 5 Rpg, Battletech (including the ttrpgs), Burning Wheel, Castles & Crusades,Chaos Earth, Chronicles of Darkness (aka Nwod), Classic Marvel Rpg, Call Of Chulthu, Colonial Gothic, Conan Rpg, Dark Conspiracy, DC Heroes, DC Universe, Darklands, Dragonstar, Earthdawn, Encyclopedia Arcane, Esoterrorists, Exalted, FATE, Gamma World, Gear Krieg, Guardians of Orders, Gurps, Hackmaster, Harn, Heavy Gear, In Nomine, Iron Kingdoms, Jovan Chronicles, L5R, Lone Wolf Rpg, Marvel Roleplaying Game, Mechanoid Invasion Trilogy, Midnight, Mutant and Masterminds, Nephilim, Numenera, Paranoia, Pathfinder 1st Edition (I don't know enough about what was changed in 2e to get that stuff yet), Penumbra, Rifts, Rolemaster, Runequest, Shadowrun, Star Trek Rpg (I can't remember which one since there was more than one by different companies), Star Wars Rpg (West End Games, the star wars Rpg in between (the one with a saga edition) and FFG 3 ttrpgs), Talislanta, The Dark Eye, Tmnt Rpg, Travellers Twilight 2000, Unknown Armies, FFG 40k rpgs Warhammer Fantasy Role-playing, Owod

Id be interested in some scifi TT but a relative newfag to ttrpg
As far as I'm concerned, when I GM that's an advantage. No bad habits, no fixed expectations of how I should GM. A group that is just a bunch of friends with no experience of RPGs is generally my dream scenario with a players. It's how I started a couple of groups who'd never played an RPG before and it worked out as the best experience each time.

If OP is genuinely looking to do a game I've half a mind to run a one-shot. I definitely don't have time to run a campaign and frankly I wouldn't want to run one online anyway. I spend enough time at a computer - I have to be persuaded to run a game online. That said, Kiwis would be a good crowd and I have a fun scenario I wrote which I could run.

My experience with RL groups recently has been pretty depressing. The sort of people who just show up with this mindset that you exist to entertain them and think your game is a video game for them to waste some time at. I enjoy GM'ing, I enjoy telling a story. But not to a bunch of people who are pulling out their phones repeatedly and plainly only join a game because they have nothing else to do.

It's a great hobby but the people in it are increasingly awful. Convince me there are still good people out there and I might run something.

I would but considering you’re new and the chance of doxing is high; I’ll have to pass.

we should do it via text, no voice to match us up with, not to mention simply copying and pasting descriptions and notes

How would people here like a Traveller game where you get to explore a randomly generated galaxy with similar vibes to Star Trek and Star Control?
Which edition tho?

It would depend, I'm gravitiating towards MGT2E but I can be persuaded to run Cepheus Engine too. Also for the game I'm planning I've changed up space travel into a hexgrid meta game similar to how Star Control 2 works if you've played that. It's early space exploration and you roll on tables to see what's in a solar system, harvest resources and meet randomly generated aliens and alien empires. I'm trying to go for a vibe similar to the few bits of Star Trek Enterprise that were good. It's all about adventure and exploration. It's not a super scripted thing. It's very sandboxy as that's when I'm at my best as a GM.

I have most Traveller editions so if we play that I can help people if they need pdfs

I got the main book and a couple supplements for the older version of a game called Over the Edge. It's set in the 90's on a Mediterranean island and pretty much every conspiracy theory is true so you got illuminati, aliens, magick, bigfoot the whole bit. I was going to try running it for some friends but it fell through but it seems like the kind of game the people here might find neat
