I'd say it's effective because there's no pressure to it. It doesn't carry the same "THIS IS A DATE" vibe that e.g. dinner does. It's not a massive commitment, you can leave without it being awkward if things don't go well, you don't have to dress up, it's not expensive and just generally you're not making the person feel like they're under any sort of obligation. There's no sense of "Well we have to have a second date because I worked so hard on this one" or "Well after all that you should totally come back to my place." As you say, people are less worried about making a fantastic impression, you just get to chat. It's a date where the deciding factor is how much you enjoy each other's company.

If anyone tells you otherwise, they're trying to sell you some shit.

But really, is anyone arguing with this fact??
Hell, looks also help you get someone else interested; but in reality, you're likely interested in them for their looks too. When you haven't gotten the chance to meet with someone and talk about your common interests, looks are all you got.

BUT looks won't keep a person around long enough to form a lasting relationship if your personality is complete garbage.
I would take a below average looking person with a great personality and common interests over a 10/10 douchebag asshole any day.


And then the jailbait shit. Like what the fuck? There's a reason we're people, human beings, with intelligence. It's so we can get over our basic animal instincts and be a society. Do men tend like younger women? Sure, why not? Because these girls are young and fresh and have many many childbearing years ahead of them. More so than a 50 year old woman anyway.

But, we are part of a society, and when you take part in a society, you must follow the social construct. We aren't mindless animals. Just accept the fact that you can't touch someone under the age of 18 and get over it; it's not like a 15 year old wants anything to do with your sluthate/lookism ass anyway. If a 18 year old woman doesn't want you, a 15 year old sure as hell doesn't either. Unless you're into that bribing for sex with money/candy/new phones. In which case, you have a problem bigger than jailbait interests.

TL;DR version: people at sluthate/lookism are a little slow and should really just be put down; for the betterment of society of course.
