Off-Topic Losing people to transgenderism support thread - Support group for trans widows and other people who lost loved ones to troonism

I've never had anyone transition on me, but I'm actually kind of scared shitless of them after a incredibly schizophrenic tranny (who the person they were dating broke off because I assumed they were too insane) tried to trick me into sex trafficking years ago. I mean, wouldn't you have a shitty view too if that happened?
I feel like I need more details. 😳

@Tom Nook's Gloryhole where are you that these people are mass transing? I want to get a helicopter and rescue you from this weird hellhole.

My schizophrenic trans friend
Yeah that's all that needs to be said.

I hope the roommate has someone to help her move/pack. It's harder to fight two than one. :,(

Kindly talk about this if you're comfortable sharing more details. This is related enough to be on topic, tbh.

Honestly I remembered at least two more troons since that post that I'd simply forgot to mention. I think the issue is that I hang around the kink segments of my commuity which exposes me to more degenerates than normal. It also feels like the more trans people there are, the more likely for it to 'spread' because with more people and a larger community there's a decline in the stigmatisation of it.

It is going to absolutely explode in high schools over the next few years.

It is going to absolutely explode in high schools over the next few years.
The impact will be far wider and deeper than previous social contagions, though. Goths can take off the make-up (or lean into it - what do I care?) and hippies can put on a shirt and tie. A troon is permanently damaged. It'll be as if the world stepped back and let an entire generation of kids fry their brains on crack and heroin. I hate how the world will look once the dust settles.

black dragqueen in brazil that was transitioning
Brazil has a a deep history with this sort of lifestyle so that is probably why, a stronger societal integration and response to such role

Some background:
Anthropologist Don Kulick noted that: "Travestis appear to exist throughout Latin America, but in no other country are they as numerous and well known as in Brazil, where they occupy a strikingly visible place in both social space and the cultural imaginary."[ For this reason, they are frequently invoked by social commentators as symbols of Brazil itself.

One of the most prominent travestis in the Brazilian cultural imaginary of the late 20th century was Roberta Close, who became a household name in the mid-1980s and was "widely acclaimed to be the most beautiful woman in Brazil," posing in Playboy and regularly appearing in television and several other publications.

Photographer Madalena Schwartz made a series of portraits of the travesti scene of São Paulo in the 1970s.

In recent years, hiring trans women has become popular in the advertising industry, although at the same time differentiating them from transvestites

Of the people who I've seen go troon (apart from that one old-school transexual who went there pre-1990 and weirdly doesn't brag about it)

Troon 1: MTF - I only knew this person second hand as they were a local animal-killer as a teen, they later became an infamous serial killer of women who killed because "he was jealous of women". Trooned in prison.

Troon 2: MTF - young gay guy in a religious group. Ugly AF. Trooned in the late 90s and would cry at parties because none of the boys would fuck him

Troon 3: FTM - a relatively famous author of coomer men-loving-men degeneracy. Trooned and stopped writing and lives in poverty when they could have kept writing and made bank

Troon 4: FTM - Homely teen girl who is probably a big butch but lesbians are not cool these days

Troon 5: FTM - Coom brained girl in 20's who spent her teenage years larping anime characters. Very pretty, but the ultimate larp is An Anime Man.

Troon 6: MTF - AGP male, shitty computer programmer, trooned and abandoned family with kids under 10.

Every one of them is a fucking stereotype

I was around those types of communities but never really into them. Why do they make girls want to be yaoi boys?
Yaoi content is everywhere on those sites, and can often be incredibly explicit (Especially so in the case of AO3), to the point where it can often be constant exposure to anime twinks buttfucking one-another. These sites have a lot of female coomers, and these coomers eventually consume, draw or write so much yaoi content that they get to the point where it takes up a sizable portion of their life. Then, they eventually decide to turn themselves into one of the anime twinks they masturbate over so they can live their fetish out IRL.

I distinctly remember that AO3 did a few user polls, one in 2013 and one more recently in 2020. In 2013, only around 4% of the userbase considered themselves to be male, which was less than the number of "genderqueer" users. This shot up to over 20% in 2020, and it's pretty obvious that the vast majority of those "new" male users are just old female users that trooned out.

From a girl who observed them...

The classic answer is that Yaoi attracts young girls who want to feel like equals with their romantic partner by having two of the same people with the same physical playing field. If you ever try to crawl through the cesspit of YA literature (please don't, it will make you want to claw your eyes out regardless of gender), there's still a bunch of fucking weird romance tropes that have women getting the short stick to a more powerful man. The Alpha Beta Omega werewolf hierarchy, the arranged marriage tropes (surprisingly still popular), and other thing where men act dominant towards chicks to almost the point of being rapey. Young Adult really aims at 20s-30s year old nowadays but it is still promoted to teens and tweens, & there are more not awful stuff too, but this other shit is prevalent enough to be worrisome. Anyway, all that negative shit makes young teen girls first exploring their sexuality shy away from being an object and closer to someone who's allowed more power in the plot, the man. Two men is an equal playing field in their mind. Most fanfics written by younger or yaoi brained women just have one man as basically a woman (self insert), and the other as a man written by a woman (the man/pitcher/etc of the relationship). The gayngst also lets them agonize on their own budding feelings of sexuality & lets them curse love and sexual feelings while getting into it.
Having only men also helps them space themselves from their own bodies. Not many girls like getting boobs or periods, and basicslly NO girl likes being a tasty piece of meat to old perverted men (no one does). Having 2 men instead lets them see TWO hot guys at once as well as not see themselves (as teens have body issues) or what they feel like other people creep on them for. "Succulent breasts" is funny to adults but to teen girls just developing into puberty the phrase is fucking disturbing.
Teens who fall into this part and don't grow out of it can go into female to bishie territory, where you don't want your body to be preyed on, you don't want the masculine traits of the people who prey on you, but you still want to beautiful, so go for the object of romantic purity.

BUT the reasons are more diverse than that. Women have their own version of auto-erotic target displacement where they spent SO much time cooming to yaoi boiz that their brain becomes fucking weird and they want to be the yaoi coomers. This is prevalent in the autism umbrella of girls, as autism tends to give people even weirder fetishes, but can be spread further out to more non autists because there are some women who still have the capacity to develop fetishes. There are a legitimate number of Aidens who transitioned to become such, and the best reason as to why is to jerk off.

There's also girls who just want to belong. Sarah's friends with John, Becky, and Jasmine. John has come out as gay either before or after the girls met him, whatever, but there's usually at least one LGB in there, sometimes also fake but that's besides the point. One day, Becky turns to Beckett, everyone praises Beckett. Then Jasmine becomes Kit, and everyone claps. Everyone talks about how shitty cis and or hetero people are. Sarah, not wanting to be excluded for being either, turns nonbinary or to a guy so she doesn't get dumped by her group or have underlying hatred with them. She doesn't go full man, she goes to a pretty boy so she can have fun with fashion instead. Which is funny, because Becky did it so she could be a trailblazer and get praise and attention, while Jasmine did it for rebellion against her parents reasons - both of them are going "soft boy" or "yaoi man" or "kpop" because of it too, they don't want commitment but want to look really cool masculine (and cool masc is who they're attracted to, not action film buff guy or lumberjack woodsman). More can spread this way too if they have a larger friend circle.

Hell, plenty of nerdy cosplayers tend to go nonbinary and transmasc just because they like playing dressup and don't want to be cis because it doesn't feel as meaningful to them. Cosplayers just love dress up and acting, give those bitches (woman or man) five seconds to be someone not a pasty lame nerd from bumfuck nowhere and they'll jump on it.

Another note: body disconnect is common with people who have anxiety, adhd, autism, and other disorders that give dissassociation. It isn't just a word tumblr and twitter beat to the ground, it is a legitimate medical symptom where you don't feel in tune with your body. So if you're one of those types of people and feel more like a little man in the brain piloting a big meat body, then you're going to find transitioning appealing since it seems like an answer to possibly connecting to the body or at least making yourself ideal (e.g. Kpop boy pretty or androgynous in general). Sometimes people just transition in false belief that it will cure another symptom.

Lastly: have you ever met someone or observed a cow with Borderline Personality Disorder? You likely have even if they were not formally diagnosed with it, see the symptoms here. They're a tempest of a person, with one of the key factors being a need to find an identity. Becoming a yaoi boi gives them a pretty charismatic stereotype to try and live up to, something that attract people and praise to you(in theory, not when they try it).

Are there women who troon out who don't want to be yaoi boys? Totally, some do want to be buff guys, leather daddies, or even hairy fat men (I'm not fucking kidding, I just don't have examples on hand, try the sjw art thread). They troon for the same reasons I outlined above. Younger women just prefer more androgynous, sensitive looking men in general, which can change over time.

Also lastly: it's easier to become androgynous than super masculine, especially if you're Ethan Ralph height. It's more obtainable before you go on Testosterone, IF you go on Testosterone & aren't doing it as a fashion thing. Old age helps make fools of us all, but that will really kick you in the crotch until you hit the age of old where everyone looks similar again.

Very much this. It's an open secret that a lot of "trans masc" "mlm" and "gay" relationship writers are terminal coomers who become the coom. There are also women claiming to be nonbinary and male so they don't get harrassed online for sexualizing gay men (which is funny because it usually comes from the FtMs).

They also have an incredibly fucked up idea of how gay male relationships actually work. They tend to transplant the dynamics of a hetero relationship onto their two gay yaoi fuckboi stereotypes, even while they're decrying those roles in a relationship, and all their characters behave like women.

Can't quote @amhoilio but:
"Everyone talks about how shitty cis and or hetero people are. Sarah, not wanting to be excluded for being either, turns nonbinary or to a guy so she doesn't get dumped by her group or have underlying hatred with them."

There's a lot of anecdotes that confirm this. Even the "demisexual" and "agender" seem to be methods by which a regular straight girl can keep their fucked-up trans-trender Gen Z friend groups these days.

The last dude on my tranny list - the big AGP - keeps emailing with offers to help me build sim-rigs and info on AR Apps (PL: I am an Adult Human Female) but he/she is as fucking clueless about technology now as he was then, which is why back in the day I replaced him with a competent Adult Male cisgender tech guru . On the other side I don't want to expose him to my son - that shit isn't natural and I don't want to explain about "Mommy's wacky friend."

Already is. Teachers I know put up with this shit constantly in a way they never did 5 years ago.

Being transgendered is fashionable. Nobody wants to admit it but it is. I figure one reason is that the cultural importance we as a society put on individualism is just leaving a lot of people feeling alienated and confused, and kids especially are just drifting to anything that makes it seem like it would give their lives some broader significance or depth. Ya know every society has its rites of passage, and most of them are gendered. Bar mitzvah, quincenera, rumspringa, whatever. Reason is because it provides a structure to the lives of young people and is teaching them about responsibilities that comes with a certain role in society. People these days hate the idea of having a "role in society", because it doesn't put "us" front and center, right? In western individualistic thinking it's all about you. Your desires, your ideas, your dreams and wishes. The idea that you have some sort of responsibility towards society that you may not enjoy, may not like, and that may not always makes you happy is hateful to Americans. But the irony is that in the absence of that responsibility people just feel alienated, lonely, and confused. Then you have the trans activist set saying that changing your name and shooting hormones into your arm is going to remove all of that alienation and confusion, and that the only problem is people who think this doesn't make any sense.

So yeah, it's appealing to angsty teens who no longer live in a society that gives them any sense of belonging or community. Because not only does this do that, it makes you feel like you have a role in some broader struggle against the forces of pain and sadness. Whenever I'm feeling brave (read: drunk) and mention this to people I know their response is usually something like "kid just feel more comfortable coming out now!". I guess that's partially true, but if people expect me to believe that this many fucking people are born with such a severe disconnect between their brains and their bodies that they need to physically alter themselves I have to wonder where they were for the rest of human history. Because every single civilization with rare and complicated exceptions has put tremendous amounts of importance on the gender binary. You'd think that if this was so common like 1 out of every 10 kids are born like this then our culture would have developed differently, but it didn't. I don't believe in some retarded "women get back in the kitchen" shit, but I don't think people realize how disruptive this actually is to everyone else's sense of identity and how spending 10 years lambasting anything resembling traditional masculinity or femininity can leave people feeling totally rootless and confused. "I am a girl" is now "I am a girl...I think". And trans people who actually experience dysphoria (and I'm starting to think most of them don't) should be the first ones to tell you that this is actually very painful and depressing.

As if kids needed more reasons to feel angst, now we insist on telling them that they are not who they grew up thinking they are, and that what they think they are is not only arbitrary it's totally and completely meaningless anyway

Well then I guess the question is: what is happening to exasperate all these feelings of being intensely uncomfortable with their bodies and about men in general? I get that a good deal of that happens naturally, and always has, but it seems to have gotten so far out of control now.

In general I've noticed an increasing rift between the sexes and this seems like part of that.

In my experience, women like yaoi for the same reason men like lesbian porn: Lesbian porn is porn, but you have two sets of boobs to look at and no dick. Similarly, yaoi is romance novel and explicit erotica content, but with two attractive guys and no empty placeholder Bella Swan or Anastasia Steele character.

Yaoi and "slash" content have been around in the female-dominated section of fandom for decades, but it's only in recent years that the fans of such things have claimed to want to be men. And I think this is a not-insignificant contributor to the problem:
There are also women claiming to be nonbinary and male so they don't get harrassed online for sexualizing gay men (which is funny because it usually comes from the FtMs).
This is actually a major difference from all those years past. Tumblr was simultaneously a hub for fandoms populated by teens-to-20's girls much like LiveJournal and Fanfiction.net before it, and a place where people competed against their peers to see who could be the wokest of the woke. And a lot of that competition involved policing who was and wasn't allowed to like stuff (or not like stuff) and why.

Tumblr basically took fandoms populated by the same sort of audience with the same sexual focus as years past, and turned them into an absolute minefield where you can't like this because it's "problematic", you can't not like that because that's "shaming", and you can't like these things over here unless you're part of a certain group because otherwise it's "sexualization" and "fetishization". The site itself may be gone, but it was largely responsible for blending social politics and morality into fan culture so thoroughly that I'm not even sure they can be separated anymore.

I'm not saying that this is the only explanation or even the biggest one, but I think it's good to remember that social justice is basically a caste system where everything, even down to what you're allowed to enjoy, is based on what group you're labeled as and transgenderism is the only accepted way to openly switch groups from one that gets scolded to one that's entitled to do the scolding.

I don’t understand how teens and young women think that yaoi is realistic or portrays what it is like to be in a homosexual relationship. I am all for ftms living their delusions. I know a ftm/male couple that live like a traditional straight couple with a kid than a same sex couple. So I figure that ftm is more a aesthetic choice than anything of real substance.

I think the rates of Autism and BPD are higher then reported.

Easy: most of them haven't even had a single heterosexual relationship, much less a homosexual one. Their entire knowledge on the subject comes from fiction, which is why you see them bawling their eyes out when they try to push into gay spaces and feel the full brunt of the backlash. Gay men aren't known for holding back, after all.
