Tim Buckley's infamous comic Loss looks to have turned 10 years old today, it debuted June 2nd, 2008 according to the archive.

I don't know if he did it today, but Loss appears to be removed from his main site, or at least is no longer at the URL capped by the archive and search engines.

People on Twitter discovered he has made an edited version where Ethan has a shit-eating grin in the last panel, and it is titled "Found," presumably made for the anniversary but possibly not as it had 3 random, nearly contextless comments dating from late last year and one more from a few weeks back. https://cad-comic.com/comic/found/ https://web.archive.org/web/20180602060138/https://cad-comic.com/comic/found/

this is weird. the lost comic was edgy and strange because of the context and the fact it felt wrong to meme it. did the author meme it or is there some deeper thing happing here.
When you didn't want the pregnancy but you had to deal with it, then she miscarriages.

I hate the guy more for sharing a name with a musician I love more than his terrible web comics. I remember reading years back (along with 8bit theater and VGcats) and I'm surprised he's still doing it.

WTF is this? What does it mean? And who is Tim Buckley? That name conjures images of a megachurch pastor.
It's a piece of internet history. Tim Buckley writes the awful webcomic ctrl+alt+del, and in this one of the characters has a miscarriage. He believed that he was addressing this event competently by having a speech-free four panel page. However, the internet disagreed, highlighting his hamfisted twattery by remixing said page in a variety of hilarious ways. Buckley did not take this well, and may have bitched out about it iirc - it was all a long time ago, and I only really watched it from the sidelines. However, Buckley is definitely worthy of mockery in general, thanks to his general cuntishness and propensity for sending dick pics to underage fans.

Just think about it: a comic which initially was supposed to be a start of a dramatic arc became so mocked that Buckley himself made fun of it. He made fun of a comic about his wife's dead child. Let that sink in. :stress:

Wait, he was married at the time and his wife's miscarriage was the inspiration for it? I don't remember that being a thing at the time, but if it's true, then he really is a triple-distilled cunt.

If I remember right, the arc ended with mrs. ctrlaltdel apologizing to mr. ctrlaltdel for letting the miscarriage bum her out so much she couldn’t be emotionally available for him in the days after, and I think there was also a blog post to go along with all of it with the overall message of “i know miscarriages are hard but you need to get over them” or something. I’m not positive that’s what went down but that’s how I remember it.

iirc B^Uckley made the comic years after the miscarriage, long after their relationship was over with.

It didn't help too that prior to this point Ctrl+Alt+Del had been a silly comic about two buddies nerding over video games. So it was basically "lol xbox sux lol vidya DEAD BABY." It was almost impossible to take seriously.

What a remarkably incompetent human being.
