Very nice work, yet I don't think it's fair to attribute Lucas's lifestyle to the homeless shelters he exploits. Access to shelters hasn't changed Lucas's behavior, or even influenced it much. It has merely prolonged the fat faggot's life, allowing him to survive his own idiocy long enough to suffer more.So for lucas, the accessibility of homeless shelters has proven itself to allow him to stay in a state of permanent childlike irresponsibility, spending the money that is intended to give him even a modicum of self-sufficiency only on immediate wants, immediate gratification of his base desires.
Not what social services intended I imagine.... probably Lucas is not the only person who treats homeless shelters as sort of a free hotel, unfortunately.
Let' talk about Lucas's long adolescence.
Lucas, like a child, has always relied on others to meet his basic needs but for the brief period between dropping out of HS and his first trip to the psych ward. People have always fed and clothed Lucas. Lucas takes for granted that he will be fed and clothed, and expects his other, less immediate needs to be provided for by others, too. Just tell him where the party's at, Gen Z, he needs to know. He is a tit-fed, passive creature, and would still be nursing if it were up to him. No longer able to depend on his parents for food and shelter, he now depends on homeless shelters, the government, charity, etc...but he still depends.
He depends much less comfortably these days.
I don't imagine that Lucas was comfortable his first night on a shelter cot. Yet it's amazing what you can grow accustomed to, and how things that used to terrify you can become routine. Lucas once declared that homelessness scared him more than anything else. Since them, he has transitioned into chronic homelessness. He does not exhibit any urgency to change his situation. He's found ways to tolerate it, settled in.
Lucas's life has gotten worse since he was a teen, but it hasn't changed much. He needn't invest any energy into caring for himself or others.
Young Lucas was free to spend his days doing Lucas things, exploring what it meant to be a fat faggot. If he had an allowance, he could blow it. He must've been aware of an adult world that his parents moved around in, a place of labor and responsibilities. Maybe he thought that he'd join them there someday. He didn't, and today Lucas is still free to devote his days to exploring what it means to be a fat faggot, unburdened by big boy duties. He spends his money like an impulsive teen with an allowance. His lifestyle is comparable to that of the idle teens he lusts after. He enjoys a degree of freedom in his day, even if he is totally dependent on others.
Lucas never transitioned out of adolescence and into adult independence; he transitioned from his parent's house to homeless shelters. He was bound to end up somewhere as a dependent, and lacks the social skills to enjoy a long-term parasitic relationship with someone like his ex-gf, so he settled in a shelter and has a payee providing a modicum of supervision.

Lucas is ultimately unsuited for a group home, and every other imaginable domestic arrangement, which is why I advocate for placing him in some sort of zoo exhibit.Lucas would probably find being homeless better than a group home, due to the reasons above. His thinking on this is lunacy and even though he admits that so many Gen Z flock to the money, he just convinces himself that they are the hypocrites and they need to change and be true to their beliefs, which he sees as dating 41 year old obese ragmen. I think he would avoid group homes because this would show he is not plenty good, but homeless shelters are fine and the Gen Z girls should be standing outside them throwing their panties at him with their phone numbers written on them.
Lucas doesn't do well living on his own, and is also a terrible roommate. The isolation of the fartbox was hard on him, to the point he'd hang out on the stairs hoping to run into someone. Yet, Lucas's personality is such that he can never share space with others for long without conflict, and few people can tolerate his legendarily foul, slovenly habits.
