Food derail:
I've heard anytime a mandatory group setting is involved (the navy, oil rigs, assisted living etc) the cooks opt for a high fat/high reward diet. You've got to cater to the lowest common denominator. No one will refuse tendies, ranch & fries but a lot of people will turn down a fish filet & brown rice.
True, and the same thing applies to homeless shelters, both because it means more people eat it, plus its generally cheaper and provides as many calories as possible which is an issue because they don't know how many times a day the homeless will get to eat
That said this doesn't really apply to nursing home environments. They have set meal plans approved by a nutritionist and have to provide certain numbers of calories along with certain ratios of nutrients, plus adhere to special diets (such a diabetic, etc..) its usually state/province mandated. from what I have seen spending more time than I like to think about, they tend to have smaller, senior sized amounts of normal foods. Everything from hotdogs to soups, roast beef, chicken thighs, fish and things of that nature, for lunch and dinner and breakfast almost always being something to the effect of a choice between oatmal, or eggs, toast and jam/butter with the occasional special breakfast like waffles or french toast on holidays and such
The general attitude tends to be 'eat it or don't but this is what there is' other than those are are incapacitated enough that they require someone else to feed them or have medications that require you to eat first, those people are required to eat something to facilitate taking their meds

Halloween Weekend is upon us.
Happy hallowern. Its the one time of year lucas can walk the streets freely and get compliments because his costume is such a detailed and accurate disgusting hobo, not realizing he really wanted to go as a pirate but couldn't decide between 'blueballs the sexually frustrated pirate' or 'long dong silver' and isn't wearing a costume at all

Its clear he only makes those mental expressions for the camera and not in person, as some kind of attempt at being an asshole where people can't retaliate for it. If he made those faces at people saying that shit in person he'd have had his ass beat into the pavement a long time ago
If I didn't know better I might start wondering if lucas is actually a vampire. I mean it would make sense - he's repelled by crucifixes, has a personal vendetta against god, can't go anywhere unless invited, like dark dank places, as creepy eyes and smells like a corpse
