He is kinda ugly though, but if he actually made effort he could get a girlfriend his own age. Granted it wouldn't last long as nobody can stomach Lucas long term and would eventually realise he is manipulating them. Lucas is given more opportunities and treated much better than he deserves, not to mention can still find the funds to keep his smartphone working to scream and shout at people on YouTube, and stay fed enough to remain morbidly obese despite being homeless. He complains about having nothing to do for 8 years because he is an asshole to everyone around him and eventually people get sick of dealing with him. That and he has no genuine hobbies or interests outside of food or sex, the boardgames were clear bs in an attempt to leech off the boardgame/tabletop market he likely heard about from the local game store and figured he could meet teen girls through it
Lucas is doomed to be single.
Somewhere out there, there's a woman vulnerable and damaged enough to date Lucas. She isn't, however, a beautiful, hyper fertile 16 year old with a fat bankroll and a desire to be knocked up and fisted. Lucas won't settle for anything less, an imaginary product of his fetishes and neuroses.
All evidence suggests that contrary to his claims, Lucas has dated only once. The other 3 or 7 claimed relationships are fictive, or a matter of misinterpreting his interaction with women. Anyway, his solitary girl friend, while probably very nice, was:
1) 18 years his senior, 2) very lonely, 3) mentally ill, 4) desperate, 5) not particularly attractive, 6) overweight.
In other words, the type of woman who could bring herself to settle for Lucas, as opposed to being sad and single.
Even then, as you've observed, Lucas's company is exhausting and he has a tendency to alienate people. In addition to being a fat, ugly, filthy, lazy, balding, schizo pervert, he is also an asshole who treats people like shit. His personality is the worst thing about him. He has no upside.
At this point in his life, it's just not in the cards.
