The ironic thing is lucas has admitted he's jealous of seth for being a teacher, cause he claims that is what he wanted to be. Gee, I wonder why lucas wanted to be an elementary school teacher. No way in hell that would have ended well for him or any of his students. That said, considering how fucked in the head his other brothers are if I were the school he works for i'd keep an eye on him and his relationships with those students just to be on the safe side, he doesn't seem like he's entirely right in the head, just to a lesser degree than his other two brothers

I don't doubt its largely her, particularly where the mental problems and enabling shitty behavior comes in, but at the very least king roy enabled that behavior from her by not doing anything to stop it. There is no way he didn't know what was going on, so he at least enabled her being a shitty mother and fucking the kids up. So he is not without his share of the responsibility for how they turned out

That said, she continues to enable and attempt to deflect his behavior to this day, including blatant pedo behavior and he doesn't say anything to her about how fucked up that is either so its still going on from both of them to this day. Not to mention the whole family bailing him out after his LA adventure and putting him in a hotel room. They literally rewarded him for it, which considering he crossed state lines to meet a teen girl is the exact opposite of what they should have done in that situation. If by chance that had been a legit chris hansen type situation and they tried to get him out of it that way it wouldn't have gone over well for anybody involved, they could have ended up with a visit from the cops over that asking about just how much they knew about what was going on and why they would try to get their pedo son out of LA like that. If lucas ever pulls another LA type adventure, the next time one of his relatives contacts kickitat to get info to contact him he should just send said relative the convo with 'mias dad' and ask why they want to bail him out after he just tried to justify meeting up with someone he now thinks is 16 to her own father (as far as he was aware of it at the time) if they still want to bail him out of it after that then it should set off major alarm bells and red flags all over the place for other pedo behavior in the family

Keep in mind King Roy and Myrna were already divorced. We don't know Roy didn't try to stop Myrna enabling the Creeps behavior. Roy could have tried to do something but in the end it was out of his hands.

IIRC he did have a fairly horrific head injury rendering him unable to work. I believe he lived with his biological mother and stepfather who maybe worked? Until ultimately going on social security post-retirement and had loans from beforehand - and likely took out additional mortgage(s) to pay medical debt (that’s speculation on my part.)

It sounds to me like his brother doesn’t understand finances all that well, to think 400k is a reasonable GFM goal, but since he likely cannot qualify for a mortgage on the home, his only way of not moving is to pay it off - thus, the insanely high goal of 400k.

Shawn received his head injury at age 8 from a car accident. He’s worked a lot of delivery jobs over the years, so I don’t know what has recently occurred that would prevent him from further working and only being able to collect SSI. His head injury seems to have left him with being impulsive and having behavioral issues - at least according to Lucas. He’s always been pretty consistent with that, but when he’s the source you always have to keep in mind he is unreliable. He also for years insisted Shawn is a pot dealer and only enjoys sitting around smoking pot. In 2013 or 2014, King Roy would not allow heir Lucas back into the home and Lucas wanted to report Shawn to the police for selling pot and report King Roy for making moonshine in his garage.

Also, Myrna and King Roy thought golden boy Seth had a learning disability when he was a child.
