Absolutely true. First, he absolutely doesn't care if someone has a BF or not, he's said many times that he would talk a girl away from her BF if he wanted. This is always one of the interesting things about Lucas (and Crusty Rusty), trying to figure out what is absolute delusion/fantasy/lies, what has some basis in truth but has been shaped by the narrator, and what is actually factual. My default with Lucas is to assume it's always one of the first two but where it falls on the sliding scale between those two groupings is interesting. Like with his "8 exes"...I don't doubt at all that he's completely making up that number but do I think it's possible that his definition of an "ex" could include some drunk girl he cornered and talked to at a high school party twice and in his mind that counts? Yeah, probably. Nobody else would consider that a relationship but I bet he does.
