If I'm remembering right, back in this thread it was said he met her at a mental clinic(hospital?) intake. Lucas did not ditch her, she ditched him when he went bat shit psycho seeing 2 young girls with an older man at a restaurant. This led to his arrest and jail for domestic violence. Even at that time, it can be seen his "appetite" was toward the young.
