We know from his past experiences with Lacey, that tiny trivial social interactions between people that mean nothing to them, mean everything to Lucas.

He obsesses over the details. He remembers what individual people ordered for food, what they said, when they laughed, when he "made them laugh", something he always takes pride in.

It's as if he needs to replay these instances over and over in his mind because they comfort him.

And then he repeats that he's a street uncle or Street dad, so he builds up this mythology in his mind that he's looked up to.

A promise is worth the person who made it. Lucas promised the men with butterfly nets that he'd behave, and wouldn't drink or smoke pot. He's been getting wasted of course, and hasn't even been sneaky about it.

Watching people take advantage of Lucas fascinates me almost as much as him begging to being taken advantage of. Lucas, who often describes himself as "generous," has a very transactional view of socializing. He casually trades liquor, pot and food for company. He will outright try to buy company, too, like his notorious $1,000 dinner date and frequent offers to pay whoever can hook him up with a queefy bae.

I've rewatched that video a few times today trying to figure out what the fuck he's talking about.

How does he think pregnancy works?

I mean, he has an idea of how in vitro fertilization works, but how the actual goddamned fuck does he think pregnancy works if he thinks a fully transitioned MtF could carry a child? Or that a fully transitioned FtM could?

Because if he's really talking about fully transitioned, neither one of them are going to have the necessary parts necessary to carry a child. One is a matter of "technology hasn't reached that point yet" and the other is "had that nonsense surgically removed".
