I don't know details about how social welfare/disability benefits work, but I'm pretty sure Lucas would need to get back to Spokane, or at least Washington state, before the first of the month if e wants to keep his. As others upthread have noted, Lucas isn't remotely capable of switching benefits between states by himself, assuming such a thing is even possible.

For Christ's sake people, archive your shit. Not only so he can't dfe but so other's without instagram accounts can enjoy the Wern's Skid Row adventures.

I have never seen a video that demonstrates what a sheltered honky Lucas was more than these. Holy shit. I live in a major city thats very racially diverse so I forget that a lot of people don't and that the PNW is a Caucasian Haven. Holy fuck his starry eyes are gonna be black and blue if he starts spouting his shit around 'the africans and latins' or they will just pity his sorry white ass

I have switched certain medical benefits between states before. SSDI and all that is federal, so you just have to keep your info up to date, but Medicaid and such is state-funded and one would need to reapply in the state your new residence is in (which requires an address). You can use EBT or whatever cash assistance you get in the interim, but just indefinitely not updating them about your new residency plans isn’t going to fly (it’s more for temporary periods, like vacationing or waiting on your new state benefits to come through).

ETA: Updating SSDI of any goddamn thing is a process and you have to fill out like 14 “yep, I’m still disabled, here’s a form my friend filled out that says I am in fact still disabled” forms because it’s the government, why wouldn’t you?

I miss his elkposting.
As do I. Credit to Lucas for the most unique pickup line we'll never hear again.

SSI carries over states, but there's a process to it and I'm sure it takes a long time with copious paperwork knowing how SSA checks everything. You can't just go like Lucas did, especially for the purpose of finding a job and housing in a different state without reporting it. Lucas really seems to take his gibsmedats for granted, but that's why he has a payee, and why he's lost dirt cheap housing countless times...

So in the most recent lucas video he is saying he “needs to find a way to live in Los Angeles.” There is no way he isn’t trying to qualify the fact he doesn’t have a ticket back so he can act like it was his decision to stay.
In the comments to that video he said he's going back to Spokane. We'll see if he says something tomorrow about get on the bus.

I worry this is like a pilot episode that sucks you in, then eighteen months later, the first regular season starts and it's watered down, hackneyed garbage that reeks of network exec. And there is a thirteen your old sidekick for some reason.

If he gets on that bus, the pilot episode of The Californication of The Telomere King will be at an end.
