This okay Boomer lady is trolling Lucas big time. The police and district attorney won't care one iota about what happened to Lucas. No one stole from him. Whoever trolled him played a huge practical joke on him. And Lucas should have known that the whole thing was suspicious at best.
I don't believe any crime was committed. Granted what was done was not nice and probably could bring up some civil issues for whoever did this. But I think it would be hard to say anything criminal happened.
Lucas is a 41 year old man who agreed to travel to a new state with no money or resources to meet someone to live with. He took some random persons word to start a new life in a new place. Responsible people don't do that. He agreed to do it and fell for it. This is on him.
