I don't know if everyone caught this, but Lucas specifically said that the Oxford House rejected him because he hadn't gotten "outpatient services".
That would suggest, to my lay understanding, that they expected Lucas to make some sort of effort, and probably gave him instructions on how to do so, to get some sort of ongoing therapy, or otherwise mental health help.
I always thought it was strange to put him in a building with recovering drug addicts, since that's not his problem and he's such a combustible element, and it's possible that him not getting outpatient services is just an excuse that they gave him, but it's a legitimate excuse.
Whether or not he's taking his abilify regularly, Lucas needs counseling and therapy. The drugs by themselves are not enough; he needs to be instructed in the specific reasons why his thought process is incorrect. I would also suggest that mood stabilization, and antidepressants, are not the primary drugs he needs. I think Lucas needs strong antipsychotics..
Someone needs to explain the Lucas why his view of the world is wrong, why the world doesn't operate the way he thinks it does. Why his behavior is so abhorrent, how you don't talk about taking a shit while you're eating, you don't call girls by crude vulgar epithets for their sexual organs, you don't scream racial slurs into the street; there's no excuses for this sort of behavior. But I doubt he would listen to any of this, because I imagine he's heard some or all of it before.
But yeah, no outpatient services = no bed. No roof.
You've got to make an effort, to be able to take advantage of the benefits that the system has.
But Lucas only ever makes an effort to stuff his face. The only time Lucas ever walks any distance, is when he thinks that there's food or pussy at the end of the walk. He won't walk for showers, he won't walk for work to better himself, he won't walk for mental health, he is a glutton: pure and simple.
Edit:. I want everyone to notice, at the end of the "Save my life from suicide!" outburst, there's always a moment at the end of his crying or screaming jags, where Lucas stops acting and assumes a normal disposition before he shuts the camera off....its very brief, just a second or two.
It's very telling.
There's a lack of authenticity in these performances, because the idea of filming yourself when you're having a breakdown, suggests a performance to begin with. If you were genuinely in such distress, would you think of pulling out a camera, focusing, and filming yourself?
There's always a moment at the end of the rage performance, where Lucas's eyes focus on the buttons of the phone, and he thinks to himself, "Did I get all of that? Okay let me press the button, so that I can post this on youtube". This is the real Lucas: manipulative. Not a successful manipulator by any means, but attempting to use the crude skills at his disposal to force people's hands.
Using these displays of rage and supposed suicidal ideation to attempt to manipulate people.
I want everyone to look for these tiny moments of Truth at the end of the performances. That's the real Lucas.
