I think he doesn't believe he has mental problems at all. He'll just go along with the bipolar thing because victim points, and they give him free money for it.

I think there’s a little more to it.
The times that he seems to embrace his label are definitely associated with times he is playing the victim card and asking for special treatment. Definitely.

But I think the times he most commonly and most compliantly endorses the existence of his mental illness is when it’s a way to excuse an otherwise glaring failure or defect. So, for example, when he was in the fart box and going to school, he denied any mental illnesses. Then when he got kicked out and became homeless, he claimed he was glad he was out and that he liked being homeless as it was less lonely, etc. He never connected the mania to failing school or losing housing. He started getting banned from shelters and failed out of classes again. He began to need housing but couldn’t manage it. So then when he was doing that Outcast interview, he used his bipolar as the reason he got kicked out of the fart locker and stated that the lack of medications are why he acts out and can’t care for himself. Because admitting that he has bipolar was preferable to admitting that he has terrible behaviors. Then when he didn’t get that sober house, he cried bipolar and suicide until he got admitted to his current nursing home.

someone inpatient did some serious psycho education/ compliance training with him on bipolar, as he now seems to think that people will buy his “bipolar = creative” spin and the whole “it’s soooo unlikely I’ll give our kids bipolar” mythos.

As with many treatment resistant sorts, Lucas will treat his bipolar like his diabetes. He will stop managing his symptoms and medications and as he slacks on his basic care of his health, he will begin to deny these diagnoses as being accurate. He likes to think his diabetes is managed by his diet/exercise even though he doesn’t seem to check his sugars, watch what he eats, or be doing anything but getting fatter and puffier. He already seems to be slacking on his psych meds and once he is off, he will go back to claiming he doesn’t need meds and likely doesn’t have bipolar as he was unmedicated for years and (in his mind) was fine.

The cycle is common for SMI but usually really sad. Lucas’s disgusting personality makes it hilarious to see the cycle at play.

Am I getting this right? Is there any sort of limit, or any sort of realm of caveat, for what you can make? Because if I understand this correctly, and there ISN'T any such limit, it sounds like a game that's just essentially a question of one-upsmanship; two speds trying to top each other with their crazy ideas.

Like how in the fuck would he know this? He does not approach women except in very rare, manic states e.g. the HOC worker lady. He is not getting rejected for dates, meaning he is not in a situation where he can be told the reason, or can infer the reason from the woman's general demeanor. There is no woman. There are no women. He's talking about the women he looks at from across the street. I just have to keep constantly reminding myself of this fact because it's so bizarre. The women he doesn't talk to, who don't know he exists as anything other than a shambling form in their peripheral vision as they walk around downtown Spokane, won't date him because they're classist bitches who judge him for living in communal vagrant housing.

Like maybe this is stating the obvious as we acknowledge all the time that he is delusional, but think about what that really means. Lucas is too shy to have interactions with people, so he imagines (wildly wrongly) how those interactions would go, and then believes that (insert deranged idea) is how human interactions should and do work. He then believes this completely not only in the absence of evidence but in the presence of contradictory evidence in the form of the overwhelmingly negative reactions he gets socially and online. Like in "Panther Invasion" he talks about how chads just march into bars and announce "I want clitoris" with overwhelming confidence and dickswagger and just get swarmed by babes like an Axe bodyspray commercial. Lucas has never ever seen this happen, unless he hallucinated it. He imagined that that's how it would go simply because it felt right and fit the groove he has worn into his brain with his endless circular narrative. In the same video he talked about maybe kinda sorta wanting to go into a Post Street bar and check out the technique of these legendary alpha grayhairs. He will never do this. He will bitch in the streets and do nothing but deteriorate day by day. It's just so wild that he imagines scenarios, decides they're true, and confidently states them as fact on Youtube.

There are amusing assumptions attached to Luccas's statement, and when we follow them, it seems that Lucas believes he is "disregarded" because teen girls do not swarm him on the street.

He assumes that girls look at him, and know intimate details about him and his life. Where he lives, at least. Do they know he's the Lucas Colby Werner? They rejected him by ignoring him. And he knows they rejected him because of housing. Does he just assume that every Spokanite has watched most of his videos? Has his illness progressed to the point where he expects that everyone is as familiar with his personal narrative as we are? Maybe it hasn't gone this far, yet Lucas earnestly believes that when a strange girl does not approach him in public, she is disregarding him because of his housing.

. A match of "Age of Steel" (nonsense name) would just be two autists rolling dice at each other for an excruciating 4+ hours, while periodically entertaining the same thought experiment every ~45 minutes. Smart, pretty, interesting girls would definitely never sit down for a match of this.

Sounds grim. I wonder if Lucas realizes his game would play this way. Perhaps endlessly rolling dice, stopping only for goofy little thought experiments, sounds tremendously enjoyable to him. But it's clear that the only pleasure Lucas gets from games is designing them, and then presenting his idea to a disinterested world. I do not believe Lucas ever plays, or has played, anything in his life.

Which is a shame, because I would very much like to have had the experiencing of playing AD&D with Lucas in 1997. Or VtM.
