They have no plan. They simply expect that their friends in the STF and such will block anyone from running that threatens them, and if someone does manage to run they will just make it so they are ineffective and blocked.
I m not sure we are going towards a Venezuela, but we sure are going towards a Argentina before Milei level of economic collapse. The general and silent consensus is that this shambolic government is dead on the water. We are on the verge of recession, and nobody responsible for the economy has any freaking idea on how to contain the rampant rise in prices for even the most basic of stuff. Not even during the goddamn Covid-19 pandemic were we charged this much for stuff like rice, beans, coffee, season's fruits and veggies, decent meat and fuel.
Only boomers and gen-X'ers who still get their news from TV and newspapers believe Lula is doing fine. Everybody else is growing sour on the old fucker. Every single one of his promises has being either not fulfilled or completely subverted. Every attempt at recovering his image is either met lukewarmly or outright derided. Instead of saying "we'll try something different to stave off the expensiveness," the bastard literally tells his countrymen "if it's too expensive, just don't buy it." Every single day he and his cabinet insult our intelligence with this kind of stunt, and there's still people willing to support them and their hackneyed decisions.
Oh, BTW, DOGE affirms the US Deep State paid decent money to hinder Bolsonaro's campaign in 2022. I don't doubt that, but I'd rather see the receipts. This is no light affirmation.
