Asexual folks are weird because basically under their guidelines amyone in the universe is asexual. Traditionally it meant no sexual attraction to anyone, the meaning has become twisted recently and now asexuality is a "spectrum"

Also, at least 90% of the population probably counts as “demisexual”; the asexual-spectrum isn’t a sexuality spectrum. It’s just a measure of libido. Which, apparently, a lack of makes you “super kweer guyz”.

Yeah, I agree. I don’t understand, despite many people explaining it, how demisexuality isn’t just...the default. Asexuality makes sense and the ace people I know irl are wonderful and not Tumblr Crazy, but demi? Ehhhhh

I'll speak a little about this since I follow a few popular* asexual blogs. All of them feel like a martyr attempt. And all of them do it terribly.
I've even gone as far as telling people I'm not asexual anymore, but rather Demi due to how cultic and weird the asexual "community" as a whole has become. Every last one of them wants to be a martyr to make a mark that asexuality is valid and that somehow, they're gonna be murdered for it. Cause you know, everyone else has been murdered for expression in some way before. Just not for not wanting to fuck someone.
Nevermind forced conversion or things like that, that are legit things that happen. Forced dates or other awkward happenings. But everyone would rather be the person to die on the metaphorical cross. To be the name in headlines, cause that's the weird perpetual thing with Tumblr these days. They talk about movements and death quite often.
