Artcow Luna Tiny / Sara Elizabeth O'Hern / Anonymous-Asexual / AnonymousArtist - Fake troon, fake asexual, possible art thief

For her sake, I hope she stays away from the internet for a while and meets some normal people at her job. Maybe this break from tumblr will do her some good too.

For now, have a questionable edit I thought of the other day. I don't even know. Enjoy a Queer Cow Crossover, I guess:

Sophie is a great magician.

Luna's clothes are black plaid!

Are her characters alright? They all look like they have a pretty severe fever. Nobody's skin flushes that drastically and in that spot.

Also, in a comic, like any story based work, you usually have character development or plot dynamics that show who they are and reaffirm them as a recurring character. Family Guy is a shitty, bad show but Quagmire is a memorable and lasting character because of his dynamic and character progression. He exists in that story.

Her characters all stand in a spot, say a thing. Get angry. Then say another thing. End of story. You wouldn't even know they were trans, gay, blind, stupid (really stupid) or anything because they have no dynamic to any plot, because there is no plot. You can take the frames, remove the dialogue and enter your own agenda and it would be unnoticeably different.

For a moment I thought that was actually real. Good job.

You're spot-on when it comes to the comic and the characters in it. It's not really clear what it's trying to be. Is it humor? Is it something serious to convince the evil aphobes that they're the real meanies? Both? Neither? Maybe it's just a collection of witty one-liners Luna wishes she'd said whenever she was faced with Muh Oppresshun™? Either way, the art is so bland that you can repurpose a panel to say/mean anything you want.

It makes me wonder what the comic could be like if it had some sort of continuity, but I don't know if we'll ever find out. Hell knows what our toothpaste queen is up to.

Wow, I didn't expect my edit to be so well-received. Thank you so much! I'll try working on some more soon. Someone might become a reoccurring character~ :tomgirl:

I genuinely went to look at anon-asexy’s blog to see if they made a comic with Sophie in it lmao

Also re: the humor. This is something I’ve also been wondering about for a long time. There’s never a punchline, unless it’s a pun that isn’t even funny. Comics often feel unfinished; they have no closure. Take the faggot comic for example. It just ends with Luna yelling at someone. It doesn’t even show the person’s reaction—just ends suddenly. Am I supposed to be filled with righteous fury and agree so hard that I won’t be critical of the work? Am I supposed to feel as though this is role model behavior? It has this Super Srs U Guise kind of tone, but it doesn’t actually present anything of value.

Edit: adding the comic in question for quick viewing also lol at trying to tell a gay man he can’t reclaim a slur aimed at him

You know, I never really noticed it before but there is really no end to any comic, it's just her vs. strawman with no conclusion... Every comic is just her blowing up on someone because they did a thing she doesn't like.

Faggot is bad, but queer and other slurs (mainly lesbian ones) are a okay for tumblr to reclaim. Gay men aren't oppressed and contribute to other lbgt members's oppression. They have no rights.

This may be too :offtopic:, but I hate that uwu's like her are "reclaiming" words like dyke and queer. She's just a whiney lesbian who wants to be special, nothing more.

This is my biggest problem with it, too. There's just... No substance to her comics. A lot of sjw comics are bad. I get that. But this one is different. I feel like it's bad on an entirely different level. Every comic is the exact same with a few words changed and the only thing the reader feels at the end is confused. I said this earlier in the thread, but there's no point to any comic. There's no lesson. It's just get thought stream and what she wished she could say.

There's no reason to make any of these comics. And I don't mean that in a ''sjw comics are bad and I don't like them and want them gone" sort of way. They're not funny. They're not feel good or wholesome. They don't tell a story. It's not sad. There's no point to them. They're either things everyone on Tumblr thinks out rediculous shit that only an idiot like her thinks.

On top of that, like I said earlier, there's no reason for these to be comics. They don't work at all in the visual format. They'r work minimally better as a text post or written format. It really just makes her comics look like Ctrl alt dlt in terms of art, with all her character looking the exact same every time she draws them and the simple, voting backgrounds, but even that comic is better than hers. At least CAD tried to tell a story, have a point, and be funny.

Lind obviously has absolutely no concept of how to write anything and it's extremely evident in her comics.

Comics aren't allowed to be funny because humor might offend someone.
In all fairness, I don’t think these types of comics are trying to be funny, nor do they need to be. They’re attempting to be critical of certain viewpoints.

But, as everyone else has said. These comics are poorly written and for the most part lack any of of conclusion that lets us know which opinion we are meant to agree with as the viewer. The only thing that really makes it clear is that the “right” opinion is from a character who is actually drawn out and the “wrong” opinion is from the shadow person but... that’s all really. The dialogue is childish and thus confusing.
