Many times I see people who don't even know anything about the cow say "Ackchuelly I'm new to this" and then share their pisstakes.

We do have a late rating, but why don't we add a "lurk moar" rating for people who don't even care to do the research, or read the OP at least?

I honestly don't get this. But then again Im not into lolcows, more e-drama and community sperging and this doesnt seem to be an issue in those threads at all.

The one post I have thats universally disliked is like a casual comment on a lolcow thread about a podcast that happened 10 days before my post.

Let's say a political event, a sports event or a financial blow out or something, if you come in 10 days later commenting on it nobody will mass-negrate you. As an example the kyle-rittenhouse thread people were constantly asking for people to sum things up, commenting on some shit they saw some time ago, etc. Nobody minded it.

The sad part is that the podcast I posted about, the one actual reply I got was from an exceptional faggot who whined about my "late posting" but despite this reminder still didnt understand that the two guys were the lolcow fanboys and the girl calling in was the one mocking the lolcow. But of course his post got all the likes anyway.

I understand, its your little safespace. Heck the rules make it so specifically, i.e. people arent even allowed to shit on each others lolcows and the interaction therein as Null is mindful of "nurturing" that community aspect or what ever. I find it a bit pathetic.
If you think something is late or has been mentioned before you can ignore it or you can do the person the favour and comment on it.

"lurking moar" and/or browsing through 500 pages (in different threads) of some of these very prolific cows is a bigger pain in the ass for the "new member" or "new aficionado of said cow" than it is for you to either scroll past the post or give a friendly update/comment. Heck, you can even do it on the persons profile and/or PM if you want so as not to derail the thread.
