Mad at the Internet (MATI) Archive Project - Archiving all the streams hosted by or involving Dear Sneeder

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I uploaded old episodes for background noise as unlisted and created some playlists. The descriptions are from the Mati site when it was live. Unfortunately, the channel gets a strike every month or so and hasn't been strike free since the first upload. Was going to try to get it updated over time but I don't know that You tube will allow it.

Here are the playlists for anyone who wants it or if it helps this any.
2018/2019
2020
2021
2022
2023 - This is a bit of a mess. I stopped uploading in April due to 2 strikes. I tried to keep it up to date but ended up adding in from other channels
2024 - Entirely consists of uploads to MatiArchive404

Miscellaneous streams
Bad at Video Games

is the stream of the viewing of dick masterson's 2007 appearance with dr. phil (november 2019ish) archived? not josh's stream mentioning it, but the viewing of the "lost" footage that (i think) dick hosted? this upload isn't working.

is the phone call where ethan ralph was ahollerin' at josh (october 2020ish) archived?

There's a few things I didn't get added to my sheet but I do have them, one of these is the Dick Show stuff. I'll see if I can fish up the post I made with links to it but they're mostly on Vimeo. If I remember correctly I think the Dick Masterson Dr Phil one is MP3 only.

Killstream stuff is partially added but there are a few missing from the sheet. A lot of it may also be lost (I think after the SecureServer site got hacked?) but I gathered as much as I could. Ralph is also a massive flaggot so he took down a lot of his archivers (even those who were friendly with him at one stage).

Is my memory messing with me, or is there a lost portion/a lost stream between a couple of the Hanukkah streams? I distinctly remember there being a 1-2 hour segment on stream.me that Null had to nuke because he got tricked into showing someone's asshole on stream. If memory serves, it was some 8chan /v/ mod's ass?

Yeah I think some of the Hanukkah stuff got lost due to stream.me going down. 2018 is a pretty spotty year. The dates I have for a lot of the earlier streams are based on when Kiwi Farms Archive uploaded them (thus KFA) which I inherited from the previous MATI Archiver when they gave up the channel.

Thanks for all the help so far, I'll get all the stuff added ASAP.

EDIT: The Dr Phil Dick Show special is missing from my collection but I have a note saying "MP3 only?" Might need to get someone with access to TDS Patreon to check for it (as well as Episode 33)

EDIT2: I'm a retard, @clipartfan92 posted the House of Judgment episode with video

I'll be converting my personal archive of MATI streams down to 32 kbps within the next week or two. Using last night's stream, here's an example of how it'll sound, at 35.5 MB:
View attachment 5742967
Small file size, and less time/data for me to upload, but as you can hear, there's an audible fuzziness to it. I can tolerate it no problem, and it gives me more space on my computer and cards to work with, but other people might hate it if everything I upload sounds like this. I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts. Also, @Big Mommy is the Excel up yet?
Bringing this over from the main thread. imo, it's not really worth the reduction in quality for the meager space savings. I've found that 64kbps is the best tradeoff in terms of quality vs size when it comes to the material he presents on the show. Of course everyone's preference will vary. Here's the command line that I use, adjust the -ss string to the time when the audio starts in the source file to cut silence at the beginning (there's probably a way to do that automatically):
ffmpeg -hide_banner -i inputfile.mp4 -ss 00:00:00 -f mp3 -ab 64000 -vn outputfile.mp3
edit: while it's on my mind, for anyone reading the thread that has no idea how to get started, here's a basic command to use for yt-dlp. I use the --ignore-config flag because my normal config uses aria2c to download and I've had a couple of issues with it stalling on rumble before.
yt-dlp --no-config --no-embed-metadata --ignore-errors --check-formats --restrict-filenames --merge-output-format mp4 -N 10 --output "mati2024-02-16-rum.mp4" https://rumble.com/v4drwkc-mad-at-the-internet-february-16th-2024.html
You can leave the out the --no-embed-metadata if you want to keep that data included.

I did notice 64 sounded a lot better. I can convert the ones I contribute to that, then. I'll need to set some time aside to cross-reference stuff. I'm too lazy to clip out intro silence/etc though. I'm only now realizing that there's bound to be a ton of streams I have to worry about downloading now, too. I don't seem to have had the Hanukkah Stream 6 so I'm downloading that right now. I skimmed it, sounds like EZPZ's in it, but I don't know if it's the one I've been looking for where they were fucking with Ross.

Also @Big Mommy I'm up for an invite to the DM group

Hey @Big Mommy could you please clip something I really like? I’m talking the MATI from 13/2/24 from about 51:00 to 53:40.
It’s been one of the best bits that normies like.
ETA maybe 52:00 would be a better start point.

Sure, if you don't hear from me DM me again tomorrow.

Do you know when the next live stream will be, or where I can find info regarding that? I went to Madattheinternet.com and it hasn’t had any updates since September 2023. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide. I was bummed Jersh didn't stream on Tuesday, but understand that real life stuff happens (including keeping this ship floating. If you ever read this @Null Josh, many thanks for all you do).

Realized we're in that strange time shift due to daylight saving time.... I think.

I always wanted a good way to access cow specific episodes. I like Josh but I'd rather hear him discuss some horrorcow like that mom of the children with the horrific genetic disease rather than his fucking banana pepper project

Was there a stream on December 2nd 2022? I'm rewatching some old episodes and taking notes for clips I like, and this one only has an intro on Rumble.

Thank you! I was late and ghey, but managed to listen to the last part. Thank those who archive it on YT. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks to the Google sheet, Odysee and a couple Internet Archives I now have 315 MATIs machine transcribed and annotated with timestamps.
Obviously the links are not fully accurate for some.

And it's SEARCHABLE. Javascript search, runs entirely on your browser but made so it doesn't have to download the whole archive to search.

That page also has the latest JSON+TXT+HTML zip along with meta.json with the metadata used for title mapping.

Transcripts and timestamps! That's amazing!
I messed around with it a bit, and it seems to be working great.

Is there a way to manually correct things in due time? I noticed a few spots where it struggles to identify different speakers and such - and it might be nice to be able to go into it at some point to assign names to the speakers (or at least clearly distinguish Josh from other audio).

I love that it allows for the searching of phrases as well as multiple key words, that's great!

For ease of searching, it'd be nice if the date of the stream was visible in the initial search results, as a means to quickly filter through what you're looking for.
Or perhaps you'd be able to sort results by either stream date or frequency of hits to your searched phrase? Not sure how I'd go about it if I were to look for the first mention of a person, for example.

I have absolutely no idea how any of this works on the tech side, so I'm not sure what's possible / viable.

I'm really impressed with this, great job!

I've done that in the past, but it's not consistent across files, and even sometimes within a file Josh may be Speaker 3, 12 and 19. I need to see if the underlying algorithm can be told what "Josh" sounds like.

Added. Turns out the field it was using for the title was not the one I expected.

Yea, I didn't write the search at all. It looks like that will be easier in the next version. Will check on it then,

Yea, I have no idea how it works either.
