"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Aesop Rock is amazing. He is also in the group The Uncluded, which has a great song called TV on 10

It's about friends hanging out watching the news of a plane crash while finding out in real time that one of them has family on the crash.
"I don't care if it's rare... it happens."

this song kicks ass
Lot of his music is like that, he is a rapper that just does songs about whatever he wants, a kid friendly song about a frog that jumps and saves the day, his therapist telling him to get a cat, getting haircuts, the fear of flying.

Here are two other good ones. He has put out so much music over like a decade and a half in so many different styles and with so many other artists that you are guaranteed to find stuff of his you both love and hate.

I will warn you some of his songs have a Xavier renegade angel effect where it's so lyrically dense that you have to repeat it to figure out half the shit he's saying.

Kinda wanna throw some music into the mix too
Song is pretty slow until just before the 3 minute mark and the energy goes up several notches. I quite enjoy it.

Josh’s plant based burger review reminded me of the time I was getting a subway, some lady was telling me that she was a vegan for some reason while she was ordering her sandwich ahead of me. When they finally got around to asking her which sauce she wanted, she asked for mayonnaise. The subway worker wasn’t paid enough to give a shit and I wasn’t going to make that my problem.
I would’ve told her. I was eating lunch with a group in college and one of them mentioned they were vegan while eating a rice crispy. I informed her of the composition of marshmallows and she stopped eating it halfway through.

I ruined rice crispys for her and that warms my heart.

lol, Null has a habit of minimizing his window as soon as he leaves his PC, not realizing that unlike X11, Windows' DWM actually ceases to render the window when it's minimized to save resources, which means that OBS will "freeze" on the last rendered window frame.

The only way to solve this issue is to beat the habit of minimizing your browser when you go take a piss when living alone in a Serbian apartment. Or have fun with Linux related issues.

Pro tip: If you move a window to a second virtual desktop, keep it visible and go back to the main desktop, it will keep rendering and you can hook windows from any virtual desktop to OBS.
Shrunk is good, none shall pass is classic.

I knew I wasn't hallucinating. Daniel, despite being in the same sphere as me for 11 years, having literally spoken to me on Ralph's show about 6(?) years ago, has never once mentioned the forum. Didn't acknowledge DKF, LFJ, the site going down, or going up. He's pretended we've not existed for over a decade without missing a beat. I feel like I should return the favor and just never speak of him. The status quo of ignoring one another has worked for both of us for a very long time.
You should go on his show and just play the clip of him calling the black guy a nigger so he gets a strike on youtube.

I thought Jawsh would talk about this but perhaps he's too twitterbrained to follow how alternative platforms are evolving.
Currently the Gab/Fediverse world is shifting because of this:
1709095134694.png
tl;dr: Gab won't allow hosting and posting pictures/video/media for free users. Only paying users will be able to do so. Gab says that it had to come to that decision because of hardware cost and bot attacks.

As an instant consequence, a lot of people that don't intend on paying have been migrating from Gab to Fediverse instances such as Poast and NiceCrew. Instances are debating whether to be welcoming to the "Let's Go Brandon Boomers" coming from Gab or prevent them from joining during this refugee crisis.

Many people speculate that because of that decision there will be few people that will decide to join Gab anymore, because why would you choose a platform that doesn't allow media posts when you can get one that does instead. I saw a lot of posts about how Gab is financially mismanaged, how all the money is currently going into GabAI, etc, but I don't know much about the inside of Gab myself.

You mentioned that Bing-Bot could create vice news articles and I tried it, this is what I got.

"Embracing the Unexpected: How Inflammatory Bowel Disease is Revolutionizing Sex Lives"
Article:
In the realm of sexual exploration and liberation, one might not expect inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) to play a starring role. But for a growing number of individuals, navigating intimacy amidst the challenges of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis has become a catalyst for profound self-discovery and empowerment.
Meet Alex, a 31-year-old artist from Los Angeles, whose journey with IBD has reshaped his perspective on pleasure and connection. "Living with a chronic illness has forced me to redefine what intimacy means to me," he shares. "It's about embracing vulnerability and authenticity in a way I never thought possible."
For Alex and others like him, IBD has become an unexpected muse, inspiring creativity and innovation in the bedroom. From exploring new positions to embracing sensory experiences beyond the traditional, individuals are pushing the boundaries of pleasure and reimagining what it means to be intimate.
"I've learned to communicate more openly with my partners about my needs and limitations," Alex explains. "It's created a deeper sense of trust and understanding in my relationships."
But it's not just about physical experimentation. The emotional and psychological journey of living with IBD has cultivated a newfound appreciation for the power of connection and empathy. Through shared vulnerability, partners forge bonds that transcend the confines of illness, fostering intimacy that is raw, authentic, and deeply fulfilling.
"I never imagined that something as challenging as Crohn's disease could actually enrich my sex life," says Maya, a 28-year-old activist based in Chicago. "But it's taught me to embrace my body in all its complexities and find beauty in the unexpected."
In a culture that often equates sexiness with flawless bodies and effortless performance, the narratives of those living with IBD challenge conventional norms and celebrate diversity in all its forms. Through their stories, they invite us to redefine beauty, pleasure, and intimacy on our own terms.
As conversations around chronic illness and sexuality continue to evolve, there's a growing recognition of the transformative potential inherent in the intersection of health and intimacy. What once seemed like a barrier becomes a gateway to deeper connection and self-discovery.
So, while IBD may present its fair share of challenges, for many, it's also a catalyst for profound growth and liberation. In embracing the unexpected twists and turns of their journey, individuals like Alex and Maya remind us that true intimacy knows no bounds—and that beauty, in all its forms, is found in the courage to embrace our authentic selves.
