It's cheaper to prevent pregnancy than to abort it. I don't understand someone who can seriously say they prefer abortion over contraceptives. It's more expensive, invasive, distasteful, and unpopular then investing into preventative measures and solving the problem before it becomes one.

As a society, I think everyone sane finds abortion to be bad, but some view it as a necessary evil. If the problem can be solved without that necessary evil, why would we not push for that?

Personally, if a baby reaches into third term is the only time I have any reasonable issues with abortion outside of saving the mothers life. Think it's a pretty sensible limit.

Once the sperm leaves his body, it is none of his business, unless he has the good sense to nurture and protect a fully developed already born baby.
Karma may reasonably be described as "things as they are, not as we wish them to be," so going forward I'll use karma as a stand-in for any gods/natural forces/science to which some may ascribe events.

Our karma is that men have overwhelming power to rape and murder women, and often do so while women are pregnant; in fact a woman reaches her highest lifetime likelihood of being murdered during pregnancy. The condition of pregnancy itself ∴ may be argued as a threat to the life of the mother.
All pregnancies should ideally be either fully voluntary by the impregnated party, or not at all. There is no exception I would make given the above.

Our karma is that barring being murdered, in which case the man killing her is also performing an abortion, a woman has overwhelming power to prevent or continue her bloodline, but only while she is pregnant.

The fact that anyone wants to remove that one small gift of karma is reason enough to wish for the end of all humanity.
