This is the real problem. Capitalists (the famous pigbarons from the political comics of the 1800s and stuff) just care about money and so they're relatively easy to deal with. Slimy bureaucrats who want power are the fucking bane of everyone's existence. Here's a famous one, probably a eunuch:

You are right that there are still capitalists out there, but I think you're missing the more historical definition of capitalist that was understood in Burnham's day. A capitalist was meant as someone who's singular vision and competence was the sole thing holding an industrial entity together, not just someone in a business who's focused entirely on money. Their empire can exist separately from the systemThe issue that Burnham has is that his predictions were wrong. He believed the managers would usurp the capitalists. In a way, I suppose that the capitalist class is smaller and more nepotistic than ever, but there are definitely still capitalists and the wealth inequality is worse than ever.
