In my area, jeets make up a considerable number of hospital patients despite being a very small minority of the overall population.

I've also noticed about a third of doctors are jeets. It scares me.

Hawley Introduces Legislation to Decouple American AI Development from Communist China

Wednesday, January 29, 2025
Today, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) introduced legislation to protect America’s artificial intelligence (AI) development from China.
“Every dollar and gig of data that flows into Chinese AI are dollars and data that will ultimately be used against the United States,” said Senator Hawley. “America cannot afford to empower our greatest adversary at the expense of our own strength. Ensuring American economic superiority means cutting China off from American ingenuity and halting the subsidization of CCP innovation.”
Senator Hawley’s new legislation comes after China unveiled “DeepSeek,” a data-harvesting, low-cost AI model that sparked international concern and sent American technology stocks plummeting.
Senator Hawley’s Decoupling America’s Artificial Intelligence Capabilities from China Act would:
  • Prohibit the import from or export to China of artificial intelligence technology;

  • Prohibit American companies from conducting AI research in China or in cooperation with Chinese companies; and

  • Prohibit U.S. companies from investing money in Chinese AI development.

Wow, man, that sounds really tough. I can totally see why you'd feel that way - it must be so overwhelming to deal with both the physical strain of being sick and the stress of attributing it to something so unsettling as Poopyjeeties. It’s completely valid to feel frustrated when your environment isn’t aligning with your well-being.

That said, our brains are so good at drawing connections, sometimes even when they aren’t totally there, you know? It’s amazing how our perceptions of a space can shape our experience in it. Maybe it could be helpful to explore other potential factors - like seasonal shifts, immune adjustment, Long Covid, or even stress from the move itself? Bodies are so sensitive to change.

Either way, I hear you. It’s a lot. Maybe centering on what is within your control - like small, intentional steps toward wellness- could help bring some ease to this process. 💙

You need a Slavic liver to survive this sort of "panacea" and he doesn't have that.
I'm not suggesting chugging it down all at once. Shot glass with 1/3rd of a teaspoon of milled black pepper, either spirit or vodka. Down that in one gulp once a day.

Don't you dare ruin MATI by explaining the concept of confirmation bias to Joshua Moon. How am I supposed to get my laughs every week if he actually checks the shite he spouts to see if it's actually true? You don't remember how funny it was when he slightly overestimated the IRS budget by a factor of over 10 because he couldn't read and didn't want to? Don't you dare ruin that for us.
