"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Three things bother me.
By far the worst misuse of slang is how niggers appropriated “out of pocket” (which for decades meant suffering a financial loss, often due to someone else’s fuckup) to mean behaving in an audacious way. Except they say “outta pocket.” I’ve also heard White people in business misuse it to mean out of reach (eg “I have a dentist appointment at noon and will be out of pocket until late afternoon”). I’m not sure which of these I hate most but anyone who uses either deserves a piledriver onto concrete.

I have a bigger problem with people who think that someone born after 1980 can be called a boomer.
The younger zoomers are calling the older zoomers (25+)“Uncs”, which is short for Uncle (aka old.)

Now call me schizo but I remember unc being used as slang like that far before zoomzooms were using it. It seems to be the new instance like sus or karen where it randomly gets astroturfed int he media as some new thing and then utterly warped as the populace gets sudden dementia over old common slang suddenly being "new and confusing" and then worst case scenarios it gets inverted and turned into a buzzword like woke did.

In my memory it was the term for over 30-somethings, not older zoomers. Basically non-internet version of wizard/hag.

Ive heard Unc used a lot in the black community years before. Then it got reused by zoomers to call anyone older than 25 old.

What is with the Randall business that Null is trying so hard to make a thing? I have yet to hear that anywhere else but him.
Randal from Clerks, Randy Pitchford from Gearbox, Randi Harper, Randall Cunningham from the Philly Eagles... all Randys are assholes

Here's a couple more to add to your lexicon

If we start on retarded business speak we’ll be here all day. In fashion in my company right now is “double clicking” on things.
I assume this is the modern version of “drilling down” or perhaps “running it up the flagpole” of yore.

This reminded me of a Dilbert strip where Wally (I think) improperly uses words and phrases around the boss in an effort to degrade his language skills. I can't find it rn but will find and attach it later, cubicle bound child.

edit: found it. wrong about wally
